THE SUMMER DOLDRUMS CONTINUE IN THE NATIONS, THE CHEROKEES ARE DAY DREAMING ABOUT FALL. UNFORTUNATELY, FALL WILL BE DISFIGURED BY THE ELECTION. NO BIG CHANGE, AS THE ELECTIONEERING HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR FOUR YEARS :-(

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA TODAY BUT ANIMAL MAINTENANCE.

AND IN THE NEWS: NEW NP- DIAGNOSIS, BI-COASTAL DISORDER.
DOES SALT WATER AND BIG CITIES CAUSE BRAIN DAMAGE?

Morning guys... Hot and muggy this morning. I just put a couple of butts on the grill. Going to end up with pulled pork in about 10 hours. Prepping for #3 and family coming to visit next week.

Corvette insurance due notice in the mail yesterday...palatable since the change last year, a little over $400 for the year.

I trust all of you are doing well. Stay inside and cool my friends.

Stopped into the casino last night after dropping off Sue's cousins Tesla. LOL Sue was saying how do you start this thing? How do you turn it off? Where does the charge plug go? Anyway, we dropped a couple of hundred each into the machines over a couple of hours. We were getting ready to leave and Sue and I decided to play the last $40 for the night together. We got down to the last few pulls when, Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. Thank you. Thank you very much.

Good Afternoon CGs!

Best wishes for your MIL, Tommy. Hope she hits the jackpot, too.

I've never driven a Tesla but I'd like to.

Brake job never happened yesterday. Neighbor thought he was in dire need or brakes but he had 40% pads left. So I sent him on his way after an inspection and then ordered new brakes at his request. Online price of $220 all around vs $310 at advance auto. Waiting a week is worth $90 to me.

I did some work on my buddy's Harley today though. Did shocks a few weeks ago and he brought it back for new grips today. Not too difficult but tedious working with the throttle cable attachment when you have to take the grip off and on five times to adjust the palm heel throttle rest (adjusted from inside the grip). Lunch was on him which is my kind of payment.

Getting in a workout now.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Well, I fixed the corn hole game.... I screwed up the frame pieces, well not really, just misengineered them. So I had to add some braces, 1" aluminum angle fixed it.

Then assembled a couple of "barn doors" that a former student had ordered them, thinking he could "take them out of the box and hang them". Nope, not these, they came un-assembled, and he has no tools to put them together. So a call to his "old teacher" was in order. All good now.

We had a little storm move through this afternoon. When delivering the corn hole game back to #3, I heard, what I thought was, the rain coming in from the west. I hustled around to the porch to put the game there. I heard this 'roar' behind me and the sky just unloaded. Once it eased up we came home and found large branches down, several things around the neighborhood thrown around... now I'm thinking it might have been a small tornado the way things were tossed and that makes the 'roar' I heard makes more sense.
