IT'S A DRIPPY MORNING IN THE NATIONS, MORE EXPECTED FOR MOST OF THE WEEK. TEE, I'D SEND IT BACK IF I COULD :-).
MY EAR IS SWOLLEN UP FROM THAT WASP STING YESTERDAY, THAT WAS A PRETTY POTENT STING!

AND IN THE NEWS:
THE PERSIANS ARE RESORTING TO WITCHCRAFT AND BLACK MAGIC. THEY HAVE BUILT A REPLICA AIRCRAFT CARRIER AND ARE STICKING PINS IN IT. NOW THEY ARE WAITING FOR A US CARRIER TO SINK.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM A COUNTRY RUN BY PREACHERS?

G'mornin.

Dropped Sue off at the airport at At 06:30 this morning. Did the round trip to the airport in an hour and a half which is really great time. No traffic to speak of. Coming back the traffic was all going the other way to Miami and was already starting a few back ups. Overall traffic here has been decent with the Covid and the kids being out of school. I get to feed all the critters both at home and at the nursery. I'm batching it til Sunday afternoon. The office is closed unless a big customer comes and Sue calls me to go over. In the olden days I would have opened and stayed there while she was gone but .... I try to be retired when possible. Still I keep busy most days. I have plenty to do.

Good Morning CGs!

Doorbell was ringing at 6:30 am. The driveway company was here and ready to rip out the asphalt. So they got that started. Asphalt is out and the stone is down. Can't lay the new asphalt yet. It will be at least a week with their schedule. And the asphalt guy said I should have the border paver brick installed first. So I just got off the phone with him. He needs to have the lead guy come out and look. It's more of a mess than I wanted but oh well.

Tommy, hope everything goes well tomorrow. Keep us posted.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

I laid down to take a nap. Just dozing off and .... Ring .... Ring..... I usually rent from Hertz but they held back $50 from my Covid rental that I cancelled in April so I reserved from Dollar Rent a Car. The first car had a gouge down the hood. They kept bringing f'd up cars. Sue was looking at the 5th car they brought her. It has a big chip on the driver door. I told he to take pics. I told her if she's not happy get her money back and go to another company. Waiting for the follow up call to see if she took one of theirs. Dollar at PHL Airport. Hertz was about $70 more for the week. I never , ever had a problem with Hertz cars. Well she took one and marked all the things wrong with the body on a paper at the office. Next up. The hotel room. Hopefully that will transition smoothly. She's going to the Sheraton Philadelphia University City Hotel. Seems I can never sneak in a good nap these days. Always too much $#!+ going on. Anger has always been my enemy. It always seems to find me.

I can relate to the anger and never ending phone.
Medicaid renew finalized, nursing home owes us a credit, and she did get a Covid check and she IS allowed to keep it. Has to be spent within a year of receiving it and I have to keep all receipts for her on it to submit next year. I'm just now finding out so she needs to get her shopping list in order. Had a busy weekend, unexpected trip to Nettleton Miss with a friend then late getting back, tried to take Sunday off and we were in the pool then a ride on the new (to us) Harley. Kinda rough where I sit but it has some kind of air up seat and air shock thing on it we can try to figure out.
Continued prayers Tommy for you and all your family and especially for a successful surgery.
Busy day at the office again and more to do when I get out of here this evening.
Yall take care.

That's three blocks from where I (normally) work.

I read that Hertz is in bankruptcy right now and they are trying to unload like 180,000 of their used car fleet.... they are 24 billion in debt and have a billion in cash..... they have been given until the end of the year to get the fleet sold down and hopefully the travel business getting back to normal.... I read where Hertz owns Dollar and Budget car rental.....

In the past I have always used Hertz when traveling... we are in the Gold Club which when we get to our destination we just look at the big board and see what stall our car is in and go load it up and head out..... I like that... no f'n lines to stand in....

damn the Covid.....

and now I gotta go mow...... stay true to the America we all love Guru's...... trust me you do not want what the other side is selling.....

Still moving the goalposts, but starting to get some things near complete. Here's an example—paint colors and codes for the sixth-generation Rivs.
