Slept in this morning. Cloudy and cool (for now). Headed to the mid 90s though.

Got a lot to do in the shop today, but I have a massage scheduled for 11:15, so not going to get much done before that, and probably, not much after.

We'll check back in later.... have a great day.

Good Morning CGs!

Got a starter shim put in the Corvette yesterday. Sounds better but I think the battery is bad. Failed a load test so I charged it overnight and I'll try again today (it's under warranty).

Neighbor came over yesterday and I got the front brakes done. Told him I'll do the rears tonight. Hard to do the whole thing at once when he doesn't get home from work until 6:15. Full brake job takes me around 3.5-5 hours. It would be faster with a lift, which I don't have. But I remove and clean and/or wire brush or grind every component - hub face, slide pins, bolts, studs, brackets, etc. It's a necessity in the rust belt or your calipers and pads will seize up.

We have been in the process of getting a new driveway for several weeks now. Inspector finally came by and approved the base stone so we can get the asphalt poured. The paver brick has been done for a week already so it's been a waiting game.

Hope everyone has a great day!

better see if I can help out some... I probably know more than they do about framing anyway.....

Back from my massage...so relaxed that I really don't feel much like doing anything but taking a nap....

You have to have an inspection to pour asphalt for a driveway? Freakin' ridiculous. I don't see that at all..... Marc, I think you're trying to convince yourself that this will satisfy the Mrs. There WILL be something else.

Good day all!

It's Wednesday... Trivia night... Supposed to be hella hot here over the next few days. Heat alerts on the weather channel and stuff.

Got a dead fridge to rewire and a dead fan to troubleshoot. I wouldn't bother with the fan, except its one of those expensive Tornado brand fans... and it's not that old.

Had I known it was Weedday I would have made arrangements. Pinched a nerve in my back. Rested one day. Had light day yesterday and today I worked through it. Might have snapped that sucker back into place. Tomorrow will tell. The local marijuana dispensary is offering $50 dollars off the doctors visit for veterans. Sore back would probably qualify me.
