I still want Chinese takeout. I think I have them convinced to do that for Christmas. Each person brings a different dish, one Chinese, one Mexican, etc. I'm good. Looks like our crowd is at 8, at my house and we'll have more desserts than actual food. Enough food for 50 people. I think I'l fix a plate and hide out in the pool house.
Good morning and hope everyone has a great day. Cool here but sun is out and 55 expected for the high. 29 for the low unless they've changed it. This is Arkansas after all.
I noticed yesterday I posted on the Sunday thread. Was wore out, but at least for now, the house and the dog are clean.

Morning guys.... Last night I started getting a little tickle in my throat, overnight, a mild headache and this morning, no energy......sound familiar? I'm not going in for testing unless I get a lot sicker. This might affect our hosting T-day as well.

Our rule of thumb is that there are no good coffee makers—at any price (and we've tried many). We now buy inexpensive and write the purchase date on the back of the machine.

Tee, sounds like yours might be cold or flu - they say the 'rona starts with no taste or smell according to the family nurses.

I have the same coffee maker I've had for 11 years, was mom's she had for about 5. Love it except I've cut a lot of caffeine out. If I make coffee now I use a 32oz french press. I did purchase a vintage 1950 Presto percolator tho - that thing is da bomb.

OURS IS A "MR COFFEE" THAT WE'VE HAD FOR YEARS, MAYBE AS LONG AS LETTY'S. WE DEFINITELY GOT OUR MONEY'S WORTH OUT OF IT.

TEE, HOPE IT'S JUST A COLD; COULD IT BE THE REAL FLU?

Maybe, I had the flu shot back in Sept. Usually, after having the flu shot, if I get the flu it's a really light case. Something is going on though.

Teebee, I hope you are okay.

From the University's epidemiologists: "new loss of taste or smell" is the closest symptom there is to a positive confirmation, but not losing taste or smell doesn't mean you don't have it.

On today's lighter topic, I'll agree that they likely don't make coffee makers like they used to. We must have just missed the window for one that would last. I'm also a very heavy coffee drinker—got that habit in the Navy.

The weather man had threatened snow overnight. I didn't believe him. For the first time in history he was right. Kids were up early and made a snowman before they had to be on their school Zoom meetings.

In Turkey news, Oregon is probably the most effed up state in the nation. Mind you this is the state that just decriminalized all personal use drugs. But the governor said that the police will be enforcing a strict policy of no more than six people gathering on thanksgiving. They certainly have their priorities straight.

John I WAS aware of that. I'm just keeping a low profile for a couple days.

Tee the Bee told us about their coffee maker and said it was the best.... so we said we gotta have one of those...which we did and it was pricy.... It's Swiss made....uh...think the Rolex of coffee makers....its a Jura Capresso and we have had the machine making so much coffee for years now and other than regular maintenance and cleaning it just keeps on going...

Impressa E8 model and we use Pablo's Pride coffee beans in it that we get at Sam's Club.... take a look John...it comes highly recommended.....

have a fine night Guru's....
