OVERCAST AND COLD IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, SUPPOSED TO CLEAR OFF LATER, THE CHEROKEES ARE ALL FOR THAT.

YESTERDAY WAS SUNNY AND WINDY SO THE NASTY WHITE STUFF IS GONE. GOT MOST OF MY CHRISTMAS PREP DONE. BABY DAUGHTER AND #1 SON-IN-LAW GOT THEIR KUNG FLU SHOTS YESTERDAY. WONDER WHEN THEY WILL GET AROUND TO US USELESS OLD PEOPLE---

THEY KEEP ASKING WHAT I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO TELL THEM, OTHER THAN THINGS THAT ARE RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE LIKE A BEST GRADE PURDY 12 GA OR A YELLOW C7 WITH A STICK :-) I'M PRETTY HAPPY WITH WHAT I HAVE, ESPECIALLY MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

ALWAYS FORWARD, GURUS!

Good morning, all.

Quite cold last night, so Ivelis is driving the Subaru down to see her mother this morning—it does a lot better on the ice than an overpowered C6.

Gris, I agree with you on the gifts. Makes us hard to buy for, I guess.

I see a Purdey Sporter 12 ga listed for only $55K online.... half price of a new one..... just thought you might want to add that to your Christmas list..... yikes!

guess I will stick to my old 12 ga Winchester that was my Dad's..... 1965 model....

Nice yellow C7 Vert would be very cool...... auto rotation would be more interesting with that in the mix....

ok..... almost time for my mid morning nap and then I am doing the floors...... my back is much better thank you....

go forth and get a fifth Guru's

Good Morning CGs!

Sorry I've been mia, no excuse.

This week the wife noticed a loss of smell and taste. Then she got a phone call a few days later that her weekly covid test came back positive. Took myself and the kids for testing and we're 4 for 4. Luckily we're ok. I had a light cough and sinuses were stuffy. That's about it. On quarantine now.

Hope everyone else stays healthy (or gets better).

Hope everyone has a great day!

Onward to herd immunity. The main problem with mass exposure is the bed space and personnel to treat the sick. Kids for the mort past get mild cases. Up to 45 year olds fend it off pretty well. 45-65 gets a little more dicey. Then us older f..orbearers are at the higher risk because of underlying health conditions like cardiac ailments, COPD, lower immune response and such. Doing my part to socially distance but I do that routinely.

My pistol is delayed in shipping. My spare magazines are taking a scenic route from Missouri and then Sioux Falls where it's caught in a postal loop. They obviously don't appreciate that I am a retired postal worker. Well at least they don't have to tell me a story. I've heard them all and made up a few as well.

The iPhone that I replaced was supposed to be FedExed from Bryn Mawr, PA to Carlisle, PA in late November. It went through California. Took sixteen days.

BABY DAUGHTER, VA HOSPITAL OKC:

The shot hurt less than the flu shot for me, and no systemic side effects so far. Can’t wait til you and mom can get it. Our CLC guys are getting it if they want it, and I am so relieved. At the same time, about a person a day is dying of covid at the hospital, and we broke our record for number of people inpatient on Friday, even without having the parking lot unit staffed. About ~40% of them have covid. Feels a bit like the ceasefire has been called, but the message hasn’t gotten to the battlefield yet. The casualties will keep stacking up for awhile.

BEST WISHES FOR MATT AND FAMILY.

Hey guys....praying for you and family, Matt. I hope your experience is as easy as mine was/is. I'm still not back to 100% on my smell/taste, but that's a small price to pay considering what some go through.

Tommy, that sounds about like Rosie's order from Kohls, it's taking a nationwide tour.

As far as presents for me....I don't need, or really want anything...I'm so blessed with everything....I guess I would just like to get together with my family, which I'm not sure is going to happen.

Glad to hear your back is treating you right Marc.

Busy day here, helping my friend finish up his office. installed countertops. His daughter is coming home for Christmas tomorrow and has no clue we did all the work re-siding the house and the work inside.

Delivered a Christmas present to some friends, finished another little project for another client. Just about to wrap things up for this year.

50 years ago tonight (it was a Saturday as well) Rosie and I had our first date....little did we know what that first date would lead to.
