Good morning, all.

Quiet at the University—I'd estimate that only 30% of us are currently on the clock.

Warm day. Shorts weather. Sweat in the forecast for sure.

Saturday night I hit a jackpot for $518 in a .75 bet. Over half of that funded Sue's pursuits for the rest of the night. It's called playing on their dime. We had fun. That's why we go. If gambling was for make money then working the nursery would be a better choice. (I don't want to work the nursery.)

SUNNY AND COLD IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING.

GOT THE CARS ROTATED AND DELIVERED CHRISTMAS CHEER TO THE WRENCHIES.

INTERESTING DISCOVERY: TROUBLE THE WONDERDOG IS AFRAID OF CARS IF THE ENGINE IS RUNNING. HE WAS A DOGCATCHER PICKUP, ALONG WITH A FEMALE SIBLING WHO HAD BEEN RUN OVER. THE LITTLE BITCH HAD TO BE PUT DOWN. DOES HE REMEMBER? DOGS DO. HE'S NOT SHY OF CARS IF THEY ARE NOT RUNNING. SMART DOG, IN ANY EVENT.

ENJOY THE DAY, Y'ALL.

Smart dog indeed!
Slept in, ventured out around noon, hit the libation station and got some lunch, plus some food for tonight. $5 scratch off, $5 won. Been out on the beach for awhile. Not much else. Y’all have a good one

Busy day. I almost got the primary countertop done.

About 10:30 I had a phone call from a guy basically saying he was given my number by a mutual friend and asking if I could come help him and his wife, with a computer issue. I was able to figure out what the problem was, and worked for an hour and a quarter, but no luck getting it fixed. We decided it might be better to get a different printer than to continue fighting that one. And I headed to the door. He asked how much he owed me, I told you I'd make it worth your time". I told him my policy was, If I don't fix, or at least make it better, you don't owe me anything and headed to the door. he stepped in front of me and insisted that he pay me for my time....OK, hw about $20, Does that sound fair? "No", he says but here...reaching in his bilfold and hands me a bill...I look at it and he's given me a C note...."Oh, wait, this is way too much". No, you took away time from what you were doing to come and help us and you did troubleshoot and figure out what the problem was, and tried for over an hour to fix it. It's not your fault the printer was beyond your ability to fix it. Besides, we may need to call you and ask for help again. You earned that." I thanked him, but still felt it was too much. New people in town, I wanted to make them feel welcome.

Tee, he probably felt bad because of your age and lumbago and such and felt you needed money to put presents under the tree. Next time drive the Caddy.

I promised to mail a package for a customer gratis. Who the hell volunteers to mail a package at the post office this time of year. ESPECIALLY a retired postal worker. I'm losing my edge.

This covid crap has me monitoring my symptoms, Whenever I start feeling a little off, tickling throat and so on I go on guard. I have allergies so this time I routinely have those symptoms. Leaning toward going to get the vaccine when they give the OK for the 65+ folks. I hate vaccinations and NEVER even get a flu shot. I would hate to get side effects like these.
