CLOUDY, CALM, AND 43 ON THE FRONT PORCH THIS MORNING, THE CHEROKEES ARE WAITING FOR THE RAIN.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA, A TWO NAP DAY FO' SHO'.

An 80 percent chance of rain before 9am, then occasional rain, possibly mixed with snow and sleet between 9am and 3pm, then rain and snow likely after 3pm.

Hey hey hey.... wazzup Homies..... big blizzard here with more snow dumping as the winds stack it up.... going to have to get out the Toro snow blower after this is moved east... headed your way Chi Town.....

I am lethargic today..... slept in and not much to do in the shop.... ordered Harley parts but waiting for them to come in...... cannot imagine having nice enough weather to get on and ride it.....

No Florida trip for us this year..... first year we missed in awhile.... miss looking forward to the beach as the snow taunts me.... new job is more demanding since the manager quit. They did promote the gal who has worked there since the beginning to the position yesterday.... she has been running it anyway for quite awhile.... good on her.... 65 outlets and she is the first woman manager that they have had....

I'm picking the K. C. Chiefs for Super Bowl win.... Brady has had his day...... amazing story though....

Good Morning CGs!

Cold here, 9* right now.

No trips planned for us this year, either, Marcus. Just a sign of the times. Looking forward to being able to go again.

Good luck with the one armed bandit, Tommy.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hey guys, Up, around and out the door to watch GS #3 play b-ball today. Played two games back-to-back...won them both. Grabbed a bite then came home and made it to church.

Tomorrow, we will go to Dodge City to the casino for Rosie's birthday (Monday). Do a little gambling, eat some prime rib, maybe even watch a little of some football game that is supposed to be going on.....

I guess I’m just way behind in life. We haven’t taken an actual, week-long vacation since 2002. And that was the trip to Disney in Florida we took for the kids with moms life insurance cash.
The results of being the lone breadwinner for over 20 years.
There were a few long weekends, but that was the only full family vacation we’ve ever taken.
Maybe next year?

Yea, I was thinking the same thing....... Not taking the Corvette this year though, Rosie is still in a knee brace and the only vehicle she cn get into is the pickup.

Bob, for years, our vacations were driving all over the country, taking our girls to competition swim meets. Every weekend during the summer and some winter meets as well.

We were lucky that at the end of the summer we were able to run out to the mountains in Colorado for a few days before I would have to report back to school.

since retiring, we, Rosie and I, have taken a few trips...usually Corvette related, I ran across this youtube video of one of the events we attended. Our Arctic White 94 Z07 is shown a couple times.

The lack of vacation time never really bugged me until a couple years ago.
One of the biggest reasons we didn’t travel was family needs. For a long time wife and kids food allergies weren’t figured out. Between that and kids dragging home school illnesses, a very high amount of work absence was to hold the fort as the healthy person in charge. I’m familiar with the swim meet gypsies. One of my best homies did that for years, for three girls. It started with gymnastics then morphed into swim teams. Michigan, Florida, And everywhere in between. It seemed as if he only had about 2-3 weeks off a year between seasons.
But, onward and upward Gurus!
