Good morning everyone!
I’m just trying to work up the courage to go out and face the driveway. How’s everyone doing?

TWO BELOW ZERO AND SUNNY IN THE NATIONS, A LOT OF CHILL OUT THERE TO BE OVERCOME. THEY SAY THE SUPER-COLD WEATHER IS OVER, BUT MORE SNOW TOMORROW. THE DOG CAN SLEEP OUTSIDE AGAIN. NOT THAT HE'S ANY PROBLEM IN HIS BOX, THE LOGISTICS AND TIMING INVOLVED IN TRANSFERS IS A PIA.

THE MOST EXCITING EVENT LAST NIGHT WAS FALLING DOWN IN THE SNOW WHILE BRINGING THE DOG IN. MULTIPLE LAYERS OF BULKY CLOTHES AND THREE INCHES OF SNOW PRECLUDED ANY DAMAGE, BUT DAMN THAT SNOW WAS COLD. TROUBLE CAME TO THE RESCUE BY DANCING AROUND AND LICKING ME IN THE FACE. WHAT EVER WOULD I DO WITHOUT MY FAITHFUL DOG :-)

COMING ATTRACTIONS: NATIONAL SOCIALIST "TRUTH COMMISSIONS". CAN THOUGHT POLICE BE FAR BEHIND?

Whether you believe in climate change or not it's a daily phenomenon. Today we are having thunder storms in the dry season and it's been in the mid 80's. The solar system at the house has been doing it's job producing about 75-80% of our electric needs. Our electric bill last month and the month before were less than $70.

Morning guys....-2 now but looking to soar into the mid teens today. The city and their electrical supplier are threatening the rolling power outages as long as this cold spell continues.... can't help thinking there's a political motivation behind it.

With the threats, I won't be going out to the shop to work, I don't want to put anymore pressure on the system than is already there.

Have a great day guys....

Morning guys. Same here with the blackout threats. Def politically motivated if you ask me. One more link in the chain. I know it sounds like conspiracy theories but still. Wear masks, you can't shop small business we're closing those and now they depend on us for a living but you can shop at WalMart, no you can't hug your grandma in the nursing home or have your husband with you while your baby is delivered but you can go watch people pile up on a football field and got to a bar. And if in NY you can have sex with each other and the DHS/CMS have a guide published you can read to see how to do it "safely". Now, it's -14 out but you are only allowed this much heat and if you use more we'll cut your power off.
Oh well. We made it through the worst of last night, all faucets are fine, pool has ice on it but open spots where the jets are circulating, waterfall is fine and running and the heater in the shop/pool house was fixed yesterday. We have set thermostats back and are using the gas fireplace for heat. Laudry, dishes and all that mess was done ahead of time so dishwasher and stuff wasn't running

Good Afternoon CGs!

Heat wave here at 15*. Some areas around me got 14" of snow last night. We got a little less than that, we were lucky. Driveway is clear and ready for the next one. Hopefully this was it.

Hope everyone has a great day!

..stayed below 0 all day but no new snow... may get up to +16 tomorrow.... bring it on is what I say.... 30 by weekend maybe..... been a long haul it seems.... gotta get better in March....

If the climate is changing its because Ma Nature decides she wants to...all this carbon debt BS is junk.... explain to me the winters of 1888 and the winter of 49... hell there were not enough folks in the whole country to effect the climate yet those were horrible storms ..... and what about the dust bowl days? Carbon dioxide caused that? WTF? Get away from me with that political chit mon..... I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore..... I think that was a good rant don't you?

Heading down to see Ma on Friday....she has given up looks like.... see if I can't get her looking forward to spring or something.... I am praying the prayer that always gets answered..... I pray the Lords will be done...... amen....

When it comes to climate change it's anticlimatic. The climate on Earth has gone through swings for 4.543 billion years. They didn't call Greenland Greenland because of the snow there.

Between 450,000 and 800,000 years ago DNA is proof that sometime between 450,000 and 800,000 years ago, much of Greenland was especially green and covered in a boreal forest that was home to alder, spruce and pine trees, as well as insects such as butterflies and beetles.

How did Greenland get its name?
It actually got its name from Erik The Red, an Icelandic murderer who was exiled to the island. He called it “Greenland” in hopes that the name would attract settlers.

Just thought you'd like to know.

Good Evening CGs!

That's funny, Tommy.

Still cold here, surprise. At least we have power. I believe that alternative energy sources are viable I just hate the lies that are spewed out to try to make people scared of oil/coal/nuclear. Well, here's a good example with those windmills.

Hope everyone has a great day!
