Good morning Gurus!
After reading yesterday’s posts I’m glad you’re doing reasonably well.
Gris I’m glad your wife had as good a day as possible. I’m like you I think. I’m getting tired of candy-ass political crap. They need to focus on what the country needs more than the power they crave.
And Tee, your day sounds like it was certainly action packed.
I’m on lunch now and thought I’d look in on things to keep up. As for snow, last evening the daughter said she was getting snow, but it was sprinkling rain here. I guess it’ll freeze so the morning can be an adventure for the rush hour.
That’s all I have, you guys have a great day.

Morning guys.... Bob, I hope you are able to get back to the normal shift.....not sure I could do the graveyard. Rosie did that shift when we first got married. We would meet at the front door each morning as she was getting home and I was leaving to go to school.

Cold and cloudy this morning. My lumber truck is going to be here in a few minutes, so got to get going.

Later guys.

7 years of 09:30 PM to 06:00 AM. I tried all kinds of combos to live a normal life. Sleep as soon as I got home. Sleep in the afternoon. Stay up after getting off on Saturday morning till Saturday night. Night shift can be brutal. But my ex BIL had rotating shifts at the power plant. A month of days, a month of mids then a month of nights. Of course he was happy when day shift rolled around. It's a 24 hour world now. No more rolling up the sidewalks at dark.

CLEAR AND COLD IN THE NATIONS, 30 DEGREES ON THE FRONT PORCH WHEN I GOT UP THIS MORNING.

THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME CONFUSION ABOUT SPRING. THE JUNCOS ARE GONE, THE HUMMINGBIRDS ARE HERE, AND WE HAVE SNOW STORMS?
NOTHING STUCK, BUT IT WAS SNOWING HARD ENOUGH TO IMPAIR VISIBILITY WHEN WE CAME HOME FROM TAHLEQUAH YESTERDAY.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA TODAY BUT DNBFS :-) ALBEIT COLD FUN STUFF---

WONDER HOW LONG IT WILL BE BEFORE THE NATIONAL SOCIALISTS MAKE GEORGE FLOYD'S BIRTHDAY A NATIONAL HOLIDAY?

I could not do a night shift I don't think. 2nd maybe. My mother was a 2nd shifter all her life, was natural for her. she'd often call me at 1am just to chat thinking everyone must still be up at that hour. Her regular WM shopping time was around 3am.
Gris, don't give them any ideas with that GF holiday mess. This political stupidity is getting out of hand IMHO.
Was up early to day so headed to a town near here to pick up some black petunias and an azalea bush i needed managed to pull into the office on the dot. Hoping for a slow day around here, glad the sun is out. We had a heavy frost last night, if it warms up I'd like to go walk some at the track. Plants headed back out Thursday evening/Friday morning.

Good Morning CGs!

This week some more students went back to school for in person learning. My daughter started Tuesday but my son's school didn't have room....huh? So they are split. She's at school and he's at home. Stupid.

I have had allstate for 20 years. Got my homeowners insurance bill and it went up $137 from last year. It's gone up every year and I've never had a claim. Guess it's time to look for a new company.

Hope everyone has a great day!

WE HAVE HAD GOOD LUCK WITH USAA FOR THE LAST 50+ YEARS.
YOU MIGHT CHECK TO SEE IF YOU QUALIFY; THEIR REQUIREMENTS ARE PRETTY LOOSE ANY MORE.

Florida and home owners insurance. Brutal. Hurricanes and floods happen. Of course flood insurance is separate. Been self insured for almost 11 years now. Saved over $50,000 in premiums. That's enough to cover a pretty good amount of damage outside of a full house fire.

Good evening, all.

Checking out for an indeterminate amount of time—surgery is at 0730 tomorrow.

Best to all.

Saying a prayer for a great outcome, John.

got a lot done today. Checking off To Do: boxes left and right.

Never really warmed up much (49), but the sun was out most of the day, so felt warmer than it really was. The warm up starts tomorrow, low 60s, then into the 70s and 80s for the next week. We'll see... I hope that is the case, we could use some nice weather next Friday and Saturday for the GSs wedding.
