Another friend gone. Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. They tried everything they could and any trial that would take them. Talked with him a few weeks ago. He was around my age. I told my BIL yesterday. How do you get to be old? By living one day at a time. As we all know, none of us are getting out of this place alive. Well, at least not physically alive. Dust in the wind ..........

Almost twenty years ago, my local NCRS chapter had a chance to pose our Corvettes right in front of the USS New Jersey (BB-62). No other cars would be allowed.

It rained that morning, and everybody showed up at the gathering point with their sedans and SUVs—except us with our still new 2003 and a good friend of ours with his 1956. We drove for almost an hour from Fort Washington, PA to Camden, NJ, where the New Jersey rests. It was sunny and gorgeous by the time we arrived—and just those two convertibles parked in front of that big gray battleship …

… as our friend said that day, "Every Corvette ever built came with windshield wipers."

Good Afternoon CGs!

Sorry to hear about your friend, Tommy.

John, Corvettes melt in the rain - didn't you know that?

Hot one today. Went to mom's this morning and cut down some dead tree branches and did some yard work. Got to use the new chainsaw. Works pretty well.

Came home and got the sprinkler control valve installed and opened up. Everything is working so there's a bonus (I hate plumbing).

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi all, I’ve got a night off tonight.
Tommy, I’m sorry for the loss of your friend. I think we all know what it’s like to lose them. Some hurt, some tear us up, and sometimes it changes us.
May he Rest In Peace.

Today’s the day! Our first big gathering to attend since the start of “it.”
A friend is downsizing and sold his Estate. We’re told to expect quite the shindig!

I’m being harassed by the dogs for feeding time, so I’ll check in later.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Having a great weekend..... Tommy, my condolences...
Competed in the Big Blue River Mile today.... be the 5th time I have attended.... last year cancelled because of IT.......... The old girl did her best with a 148 best run in the half mile..... early morning when it was cooler... last run I thought was my best turned out to be only 143... who knows..... anyway much fun had and lots of manly fast car talk......

now I am thinking nap time since its in the 90's and I am tired because of all the violent shifting.....

Next up is an SCCA Solo Pylon race on the 13 in Lincoln.... I'm in the Novice class since my last Pylon run was in the early 90's in a C4..... I think it should be fun...

I also have dogs who harass me if I am late with the feed..... little ingrates..... keep going faster Guru's......

Hey guys, been a long couple of days. Yesterday made the 400 mile trip to KC. Then worked until 9:30pm. Up this morning and out by 7am and got some of the shed built. Freaking humidity is horrible here. I don’t know how you do it Tommy.

Sorry about your friend Tommy. Marc, good to hear your money spending wasn’t all in vain this time. . John you’re right they all come with wipers and don’t melt in the rain.

My arse is dragging bad......
