no kidding on the night driving Gris..... I try to avoid it.... so we have like a million jacked up 4x4's in this State and so the new beams are really high and then the jackwagons think its cool to turn on their f'n fog lights.... just pisses me off.... losers...... I love it when a car is coming down the road with old yellow headlights.... yes...it is so...

today I gotta mow and do the floors..... geez one big fun day and now I gotta pay for it...... sally forth Guru's....

June 6th 1944 a huge day in history.... wonder if the kids now days won't try to cancel that somehow..... We are only one generation away from losing our Freedoms..... Ronald Reagan....

I find one of the most striking things about the whole day to be Eisenhower's "in case of failure" letter—never needed, of course

"Our landings in the Cherbourg-Havre area have failed to gain a satisfactory foothold and I have withdrawn the troops. My decision to attack at this time and place was based upon the best information available. The troops, the air and the Navy did all that Bravery and devotion to duty could do. If any blame or fault attaches to the attempt it is mine alone."

The men and women who served on the front lines and those that helped the dead and wounded gave it all. Many wracked with fear as they watched their comrades in arms fall in great numbers. The blood washed beaches, bodies piling up and floating in the wakes. I've seen the footage. It is shocking to say the least.

Hot and humid. Suprising, aye? Working on vehicles and tags and insurance cards and matching toll transponders with the vehicles. Had to add trailer tag, delete another and drop a transponder that we didn't take out when we sold the van. There were no charges run up so that's good.

Hey guys, a busy day here. Up early and off to church, then home to continue the building project. Walls up and trusses built and up on the building. Tomorrow a beam to support the lean-to roof.

The longest day.... one of the greatest days in American history.
