Good morning.

Saturday night we saw the current rendition of the band Chicago. The performance was solid. It was like listening to to the original recordings as all the numbers were mirror performances of the originals. Near the end of the show we watched the drummer and percussionist play a duet together that was absolutely incredible. Horns, vocals, guitars, keyboards and all just demonstrated the high caliber of musicianship that these members all shared together. Glad we went.

Of course we played our favorite games before and after the show. I was down pre show but made a major comeback post show by hitting an $1150 jackpot and a $400 payout on one roll of the wheels. Sue was over $400 ahead pre show on slots but the card table took all that back and more later in nthe evening. Gambling is a give and take. For us we are still ahead for the year. It's enetertainment not a source of income.

Played Mr Mechanic yesterday and replaced the washer resevoir on the Silverado. Of course you have to pull stuff out to get to it. Not too bad though. Another job done.

Rain in the forecast over the next few days as the tropical storm passes to our west.

That's the news for now. Here is a word from our sponsors.

GLAD THE STORM IS GIVING YOU A MISS, TOMMY.

ANOTHER PRETTY MORNING HERE, 69/79. THE CHEROKEES ARE GRATEFUL.

HAD A VERY QUIET FOURTH, WENT TO OUR FAVORITE CHINESE BUFFET IN MUSKOGEE FOR SUPPER. THE PLACE WAS NOT CROWDED NOR WAS THERE MUCH TRAFFIC ON THE ROAD; GUESS THEY WERE STILL AT THE LAKE. THE NEIGHBORS FIREWORKS WERE UNDERWHELMING. I READ OF A FIREWORKS SHORTAGE, BUT THERE ARE NO SHORTAGE OF FIREWORK STANDS AROUND HERE. MAYBE A SHORTAGE OF MONEY?

IT'S AUTO ROTATION DAY, THE TOMATO GOES IN THE READY RACK AND THE TOP GOES DOWN :-)

I SHOULD MOW.
TO MOW OR NOT TO MOW, THAT IS THE QUESTION.
WHETHER TIS NOBLER IN THE MIND TO ENDURE THE HIGH WEEDS,
OR TAKE ARMS AGAINST A SEA OF GREEN, AND BY THE MOWER END THEM?

A MERRY MONDAY TO YOU ALL!

Sooo spent the day at a very small village in the Good Life State yesterday. Took the Silver Steak down to participate in the car show...... did not bring home any gold plastic again..... 3rd place went to a riced up orange BMW that looked like it was painted with a brush....... 2nd place to a very nice 33 Desoto and First place to a 71 Chevelle SS 454 that was ok but needed the interior scrubbed...... Patriotism still runs strong in the midlands with Trump flags in evidence and many U.S. flags...... the food as usual was great..... lots of beef being served....

The turtle race was thrilling this year as there were 40 entries ...... the winner was named Potato because he laid around all week hardly moving but came out of the gates like he was on fire and took the grand prize........ I personally won at Bingo and have a fine ice cream scoop for the travel trailer to show for my efforts........ after another stunning defeat in the car show this did help heal me up....... as did a few PBR's.........

Today I am putting on some ceramic to the HD..... enjoy your days Guru's...

I like that, too—but I don't have any suggestions.

Thanks for asking—I'm now over two years in—started in late February 2019. Obviously, the medical issues slowed me earlier this year.

Work has picked up over the last few weeks as I continue to improve. By your counting method, I now have 58 pictures. That adds up to 166 pages.

I think I've got at least another 15 or so pages to go. Some chapters feel pretty much done, while others are distinctly unfinished. Some fairly recent blog updates:

Thanks for asking—better. I had another performance test last week, and I think the PT folks were happy with the results. Still pain in the wound area, aches in the trunk area, and weird muscular stuff in the thighs. Steadily improving.

No engine lifting for me anytime soon, but life is slowly returning to normal.

JOHN, YOU'RE GOING TO BE THE EDWARD GIBBON OF THE BUICK RIVERA.

AS TO FORMATTING, I KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT BOOK CONSTRUCTION, BUT BEING DEVOTED TO THE KISS PRINCIPAL, I'D LIMIT THE SUBHEADS TO MODEL YEAR AND JUST BLEND THE NON-BUICK STUFF INTO THE NARRATIVE.

BEEN A VERY SATISFACTORY DAY. DIDN'T GET OVER 85, I GOT THE CARS SWITCHED, THE BUMBLEBEE PUT TO SLEEP, MOWED ABOUT 2/3 OF THE OBSTACLE COURSE, TOOK A NAPUS MAXIMUS, THEN MOWED THE REST.

THINK I'LL REWARD MYSELF A BOUBLE DOURBON ON THE ROCKS :-)

Hey guys, been AWOL for the last few days. Drove to KC Thursday, spent the last few days chasing grands around and spent Friday evening at the Royals game.

Today we made the trip back home. Once home we unloaded the car and put things away, then Rosie mowed and I gave the Caddy a bath. This was the first trip, more than a quick trip to the 'city', in the "new" Caddy.... All the way up to KC and all the way back home, I was learning things about the things it does and how to do things with it. I'm pretty impressed with all the features it has.

Glad to hear you are doing well John. Tommy, I'm never that lucky at the Casinos and it good to hear that Chicago puts on a good show...might have to try and make a show when they are in the area.
