Up early as Rosie has a dental appt this morning, she's on the road already. Going to be a warm day ... not so much temp-wise, but add in the humids and it is going to be uncomfortable. This might not be a bad thing, as we are headed to Branson Sunday, this will just get us ready for that.

Several things to do today, better get to them. Have a great day.

GOOD MORNING, TEE---
THE SUN IS SHINING ON THE NATIONS THIS MORNING AND THE CHEROKEES ARE GLAD TO SEE IT. THE HUMIDITY, OF COURSE, IS GODAWFUL. PREDICTED HIGH MID 80'S.

DARLING WIFE HAS PT AT TAHLEQUAH THIS MORNING, I'M HAVING TO DRIVE HER AGAIN, AND IT'S AUTO ROTATION DAY. THE BUMBLEBEE IS UP, FRESH FROM DETAILING. IT'S SO CLEAN I HATE TO DRIVE IT, BUT I'LL FORCE MY SELF :-)

QUESTION FOR YOU ALL: IS THERE ANY HARM IN LEAVING AC FREON LOW IF YOU'RE NOT RUNNING AC OR SHOULD FULL CHARGE BE MAINTAINED?
BUMBLEBEE HAS A SLOW LEAK, CHEAPER TO RECHARGE THAN TO FIX. DW WON'T BE RIDING AND I ALMOST NEVER USE AC WHEN I'M ALONE.
RECHARGE OR NOT TO RECHARGE, THAT IS THE QUESTION...

Good Afternoon CGs!

Happy birthday to Tommy T-bone!

Hit here today and a bit humid. Cutting the grass now and actually had to stop because I started sweating a little too much and felt woozy. Sitting in the shade with a big glass of ice water to cool off. Feeling better already.

Went to the barber today for the first time in get this...15 years. My wife has cut my hair ever since we got married and I've had a brush cut since then. But she decided I should grow my hair out a bit so I've been doing that for 2 months now. It was a bit shaggy so I went it to get it cleaned up. Guy did a nice job. $25 which I didn't think was too bad. Gave him a $5 tip and said I'll see you in 8 weeks lol.

Hope everyone has a great day!

RECHARGE OR NOT TO RECHARGE, THAT IS THE QUESTION...

There's no real risk in it. The system has a low pressure switch and a high pressure switch that as long as they are working should prevent the compressor from engaging if the pressure is not within the correct limits. So you could cause the compressor to cycle off and on if you are running it with low pressure but if you are not running it at all the clutch will not be engaged and the compressor won't turn. In a very long-term scenario that could be bad for the compressor because it won't stay lubricated but I don't think you have to worry about that. The other concern would be that if all of the freon leaks out then you will have to repair the leak, repair any the other problems, replace your accumulator/dryer, replace your orifice tube, vacuum the system and then recharge it correctly.

Technically the correct way to recharge the system is to vacuum it down with a machine that also recovers it and then put the correct predetermined weight of freon back into it. The backyard method is to use a set of real gauges and go based on pressure. I don't really recommend using those cans that have the gauge built in.

THANKS FOR THE INFO, MATT. THINK I'LL JUST GO AHEAD AND RECHARGE, IT'S NOT THAT EXPENSIVE; MAYBE DARLING WIFE WILL BE ABLE TO RIDE WITH ME ONE OF THESE DAYS.

MY HAIRCUTS COST $20, I DON'T TIP ANYBODY THAT SETS THEIR OWN PRICES.

I CAN REMEMBER THE OUTRAGE WHEN HAIRCUTS WENT FROM 50 CENTS TO A DOLLAR :-0
