Good morning, all.

Not as hot as Oklahoma in the Philadelphia area, but disgustingly humid. I almost turned around from my morning walk about 50 steps, but persevered.

Back update: this past week marked three months since my surgery.

Over the last two weeks, I visited with both my spinal cord rehab doctor and my neurosurgeon. Both seem pleased with my progress, and a recent x-ray shows that the spinal recovery has gone well (likely avoiding the need for screws).

I have been removed from almost all my spinal restrictions and am allowed to bend, lift, and twist—making my twice-weekly outpatient therapy more effective. I remain enjoined from heavy lifting (that’s fine) and from running on non-padded surfaces (tougher, but we’re exploring either a treadmill or an elliptical). I am also attempting to ramp down the remaining post-surgery medications.

Good news, John.
Sue called me last week and told me a golf cart part that was needed was on backorder. If I could get one order it. I asked what part. She said look for one that says bushing (on the estimate). I found it, ordered it, got it and she delivered it. She calls me and tells me that's not what they needed. They needed the kit. She didn't say "kit". She said bushing. That's not the part that was needed. Oh well. Not my fault. The part remains on backorder. My face is a little red this morning. Elevation in blood pressure no doubt. Good Morning CGs!

Hot and nasty here, gurus. I was going to cut the grass but then I remembered Tommy's motto "why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?"

Marcus, welcome back. Glad the car ran well and neat story about the Corvettes.

John, glad the recovery is still on track.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I grew up without air conditioning. Didn't have it in my residence till I was about 22 and living in a hot summered San Antonio area. Thank God for A/C. I would not live in South Florida without it. I have had a couple of cars along the way that the A/C failed and I didn't have the $$$ to fix it. Brutal in summertime. In other words ...
