Gris must be recouping from his hunting trip. It's a cool start to the day here, but promising to reach into the upper 90s.

I have a few things to do in the shop. I assembled, as much as I could, of a cabinet for the school.

Good Afternoon CGs!

Got the used steering rack replaced on the TA on Saturday. It seems to work great. Of course I could hear the pump whining Saturday morning before I did the deed. So today I did a fluid swap and the old stuff looked pretty dark and worn. So far the new fluid seems to have done the trick. Also installed new rear bump stops over the weekend. What I've found so far is that "low mileage" often means "low maintenance." So far this past 6 weeks it has gotten new oil and filter, new transmission fluid, new brakes, new brake fluid, new clutch fluid, and new power steering fluid. Coolant hasn't been done but it looked ok visually and no overheating problems or leaks. I'll probably do the diff fluid one of these days, too.

Vette needs an oil change, too. She's been running well, though.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Mat,
I agree your observation of low mileage/low maintenance. The common thought being,”I haven’t driven it much, why should I change the oil?”
Between that and Fram oil filters, I don’t know what does more damage to engines and transmissions.
I have to admit, it’s nice to be associated with others that appreciate the concept of vehicular maintenance.
Had a blood clot scare, ultrasound says I’m ok.
That’s about all the action I can take for one day.
It’s 5 o’clock somewhere, here’s to the Gurus!

Sue's party went well. All is good. Seeing Santana on Saturday night and staying at the casino hotel. Comped on both the concert and the room. I did a 3k in sales sales today. I hate doing sales but it was worth it. Sue is planting with a crew on an island in Biscayne National Park. Not a bad gig. Plenty on the list to keep me busythis week.

HOME AGAIN, HOME AGAIN, JIGGIDY JOG---

HUNT DIDN'T AMOUNT TO MUCH, I DID VERY LITTLE SHOOTING AND EVEN LESS HITTING. DON'T REMEMBER WHEN I SHOT SO POORLY. THAT'S NOT TOO SURPRISING AS I HAD NOT FIRED A SHOTGUN FOR A YEAR. SIL DID BETTER THAN I; I PUT HIM AND THE BOYS IN THE BEST SPOT AND GAVE THEM THE ONLY WORKING MOJO DOVE DECOY. #7 DIDN'T SHOOT, HIS DAD THOUGHT HE WASN'T READY. NOT MY CALL, SO I KEPT MY MOUTH SHUT.

SPENT LAST NIGHT AT MY HIGH SCHOOL BUDDIE'S FOR STEAKS, BOURBON, AND REMINISCING. HE'S DOING BETTER THAN I EXPECTED, NOT ON OXYGEN YET.
