This month is rocketing by. Flying by would be understated. Mornings are slightly cooler but still roasting mid day. Committed to bringing all the cars back online. Ordering parts and making some financially painful decisions. If you want to play you gotta pay.

Morning guys....slept in, well, not really, stayed up too late working on a project for the CNC (on the design software), so I got my normal 7 1/2 hours of sleep, just started late.

Not a lot on the agenda, home football tonight, XC tomorrow, about an hour south of here.

Good Morning CGs!

Should be a nice day today. Sunny and warm. Cool in the evening with the top down but enjoyable.

11:15 here and in waiting for my 11:00 haircut appointment. Sort of an oxymoron that I'm waiting for an appointment. Oh well.

Tommy, having to order multiple parts for your multiple cars....seems like not such a bad problem to have.

Hope everyone has a great day!

One of the things I hate is replacing deep grooved tires because of weather checking and cracks. Really, I could try to drive the tires as hard as I might off these cars and still have plenty of tread to spare. The 90 vette needs a new pair of shoes.

Hey guys, getting ready to head to the 'tailgate' before the game. Sponsored by one of the groups at school, we'll support them by buying supper.

Finished up a couple projects today. Another hour on the software to finish the design I was working on last night and then about an hour cutting time. Here's the 'masterpiece'

Pretty pleased with the way it came out... it will go on the wall in my office along with all the other Corvette stuff.

Well, I guess 007 won the competition over on the 'other' forum. Thanks for all here who my have voted for me.

atta boy Teeb..... thought they were going to mount a recall there for a bit..... due to who took the pic... congrats to you and 007.... you are damned near famous now....

I did not fare so well as the opposition which has a nice car but the pic is maybe the worst one of the 10 finalists but suddenly he has all these votes.... I was clearly the winner and will act like I won and demand some recounts...

looking forward to the weekend....the Huskers are coming to your State Gris... on the 50th anniversary of the Game of the Century..... This game will not look anything like the one in 1971 when men were men and women knew how to cook..... just kidding VB.... you are a great cook I hear...... Gotta go now...... and hang out...

Hi all,
Just read up on the past few days.
Happy anniversary Mat!
Thanks for the good thoughts on the leg. It’s doing pretty well now.
If anyone has noticed my absence these past few days, I’ve been working on the never ending project. I was going through my notes on it and realized I’d overlooked proper preparation of the lifters and rockers and set about to take care of it. I discovered a lifter body was not only missing a broken off section, but the piece was not visible anywhere.
Terror began to set in.
I soon surrendered to the fact the oil pan was going to be removed.
After removing the pan and windage tray, I looked through the bottom end with flashlights, probe-camera, and even mini-magnets and fingers.
No chip of lifter. All while rotating the crank periodically.
I also found my oil pump drive shaft to be substandard and had to replace it.
Preparing to reinstall the windage tray, I noticed the rod bolts of my stroker had been scraping and bending the tray. (???)
Using my nearly adequate metalworking abilities, along with a Torch and hammer, the windage tray now fits just fine!
So after three days of worry, work, a few bucks, not only are the issues resolved, but I’ve got a gashed knuckle, a bruised/bloody eyebrow (falling ratchet), a scraped elbow, and somehow my leg feels actually GREAT!
It must’ve been the exercise of getting up and down.
Time for a beer for Bob. I’m relaxing tonight!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Still not sure, Marc. If I don't win on a technicality, so be it.
