The whole "Gender Reveal" thing I find obnoxious. Just the term of it I find annoying. To me it's as ridulous as a huge party for a one year old. Down here they have Quince parties for hispanic young ladies or sweet 16's for others. Some Quince parties would rival an upscale wedding. Even weddings for the matter in many cases are out of control. Why do people have to spend ridiculous amounts and invite so many people to celebrate a contract that has a 50% chance of success. All this ties back to commercialism of which we all fall victim to. "Oh what a beautiful ring." Wouldn't you have rather spent that on a down payment for a house?

Just rang my bell. LOL

CLOUDY, WINDY, 42 DEGREES IN THE NATIONS. OH WHAT A DISMAL MORNING---

DON'T KNOW JUST HOW THE TISHOMINGO WRECK HAPPENED; PICTURES OF THE CAR LOOKS LIKE HEAD ON BUT THERE WAS A STOP SIGN IN THE MIX.

GOT OVER TO TAHLEQUAH EARLY, GOT MY EARS LOWERED. TOOK THE TRUCK, GOT SPRINKLED ON. WHEN I GOT BACK TROUBLE OVERSTAYED HIS RUN AND SO MISSED OUT ON BREAKFAST. HOPE HE MAKES THE CONNECTION; THAT'S A LOT TO EXPECT FROM A DOG.

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE SOME SUNSHINE TODAY :-)

good morning - cooler and dreary here, one job on a complete for a xl mercedes high rise van on hold due to customer not being able to give me art I need. Otherwise ready to print. Ugh. Boss on vaca this week, home with his special needs son, mom out of state visiting other son so couldn't print it anyway.
Thank you all for prayers, still waiting on doc to call. nervous. I'm split between decisions. Marcus, she is able to talk with me and communicate - I was with her for 2.5 hours after work last night - she wants to get better but says no to the procedure. The other option is hospice and she won't get better. At least with the peg tube there's a shot at it but she still says no. I can't win. And I'm not comfortable playing God. I want doc to call so I can set up a meet with him in her room to have him help. At this point I'm voting for hospice then she can have her coke or whatever she wants, but she will end up with pneumonia and die. the peg tube would allow nutrition and perhaps her get better, if she comes through the procedure okay. She has heart failure (EF 25-30 out of a normal 60) and pneumonia now so thats a risk. I'm not qualified to make this call.
Getting taxes done tonight so at least will have that off the schedule, then worry about writing that check to the gubmint. Gotta do my part for everybody that don't want to work.

I feel for you Letty. All you can do is so your best and follow the wishes of the patient. Went through this with my mother and mother in law. They knew what they wanted and what they didn't. There is only so much fight in us till we accept what is to come.

Sorry to hear about the medical situation, Letty. We did that with my dad. It's never easy but sometimes the best thing. After that my wife became a hospice nurse and she's been doing that for almost 6 years now. There is a certain comfort in knowing that your loved one is no longer suffering.

I just saw a news report on that Oklahoma accident. Prayers for all of the families - how awful.

VB you also have to take in the quality of life issues.... just prolonging life with no hope of getting back to a life well lived is a tough decision... it is hard wired into us to fight for every breath and so we do.... such tough questions with no real answers..... go all out while you can Guru's..

I don't know if those girls would have been in a Duramax 3500 Dully it would have come out any different.... I know they did not stand a chance in that Chevy Spark...... put your kids in the biggest gas hog you can find like a big pickup that sits off the ground and has a cage around it.... gotta give them a chance......
