SUNNY, 46, CALM AT THE MOMENT, WIND WILL PICK UP AND IT WILL GET CLOUDY THEY SAY. THE HIGH IS TO BE 60.

IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE SPRING AROUND HERE AND THE JUNCOS ARE GONE, THEY USUALLY TAKE WINTER WITH THEM.

LOTS OF RANGE FIRES, MOSTLY IN WESTERN OKLAHOMA, IT'S PRETTY WET AROUND HERE.

MY BEST TO YOU ALL :-)

I'll be boarding at this time tomorrow. (hopefully). I had a Covid airline credit I had to use. The credit paid for upgrades across the board. Prioity boarding, bigger seats, 2 checked bags and 2 carry on bags. I'm taking a suitcase full of tools to help my FIL get his house in South Carolina ready to sell. That house and the house he lives in are the last two properties in the portfolio. There is a time in everyones life when you have to clear most of what you accumulated. If you don't someone else will do it for you when you are dead and gone. My friend Jim's possessions went to his niece. After the funeral they put a dumpster in the driveway and pretty much everything that was not of value went into the dumpster. I really should have gone through it because I know there was stuff in there I would have kept. But then, that would have been stuff I would have had to get rid of eventually.

Thinking about the final days ..... get your asses in gear and do all that you want to do while you are alive.

hear him, hear him, I guess the question is when do you begin to downsize? Or clean out or clean up.... I have been starting to look around and think what is essential and what is stuff I am not using that much.... I have a large storage container I rent every month that has all my Mom's stuff yet to deal with... my thing is what the kids don't want is going to be sold or given away... on all of it....

windy today..... big windy.... major fire alert is out now due to how dry it is and the wind would whip it up like crazy....

It is truly a strange road we all travel in this life.....

I do NOT suggest panels for older folks since the time it takes to break even but for younger people I think there is good value.

good morning, beautiful day here a tad cooler, winter will be here again Friday and Saturday.
I'd like to do solar at our house but am told by too many that the cost doesn't outweigh the benefit as the payment for the system is as much or more than the standard utility bill otherwise. Unless of course you can afford to pay outright cash and we cannot. And was told that by the time you paid them off you'd have to do it all over again as they'd be obsolete, etc. I'd still like to have them though.
I too am thinking of later days when I need to start purging. I always hate to see when an older person does this and loads up dumpsters. I always think of the mid century modern things that are of great value that go in there as most people don't realize what they are or how scarce and valuable those things are. And, for the person getting rid of things, it's on their mind more so that their time is limited. Must be depressing.

Yes. LOL. Depends on your monthly savings. How much you generate and what you paid per kilowatt generated. I did not care if we got it or not. It was a "Yes dear". I won't be around long enough in my opinion. Sue, maybe. Somebody is going to have a great system somewhere down the line. We do not have battery back up. That's a very expensive option. Well, it's all bought and paid for so ..... it reduced our monthy bills.

Hey guys, up early, went to church then we jumped in the car to head to Wichita to pick up the guy from our church that had a total shoulder replacement yesterday, and was released today, but he couldn't drive himself. So Rosie and I made the 4 hour drive to pick him up.His message said they would release him between 1 and 2. Being pessimistic, we shot for 2 and got to the hospital about 1:45. Went up and he said they needed to bring the paperwork by, remove the suction pump and he'd be ready...well, 2 1/2 hours later we Finally got gone. Got home about 8pm fought the freaking wind all the way home 35 to 40mph with gusts to 55-60,

When we got parked in front of his house, he tried handing me an envelope with money in it saying here..... I told him "NOpe, just keep it." He says "You have to take it, you took the whole day off to do this. And spent money on gas." Nope" "Well, I'll give it to Rosie." He walks back to the car while I'm unloading his bag, All I hear is Rosie telling him "No, were not taking any money". He's not very well off, lives on disability and medicare.

I'm tired and headed to bed.

Good Evening CGs!

Been around but just being lazy.

Letty, you are a good person to have cared for her so well. It's hard saying goodbye but take comfort in knowing she's no longer in any pain or discomfort.

TB, same to you. Every post seems to be you helping out a friend or stranger.

Hope everyone had a great day!
