LOOKS LIKE 3.25 INCHES IN THE RAIN GAUGE. GLAD WE LIVE ON THE SIDE OF A HILL. 66 DEGREES, OVERCAST, 83 FOR THE HIGH, LOOKS LIKE THE RAIN IS OVER FOR A WHILE.

CAR SHOW PREP TODAY, SUPPOSED TO BE HOT TOMORROW. I'VE GOT A BIG GARDEN UMBRELLA TO SIT UNDER AND AN ICE CHEST FOR REFRESHMENTS :-)

THE DRIVEWAY ALARM SEEM TO HAVE SHORTED OUT, HOPE IT WILL DRY OUT AND I DON'T HAVE TO REPLACE IT.

KEEP YOUR HEADS ABOVE WATER!

Thankfully, we've been escaping the ongoing onslaught of rain. hold out for another day and drier weather is in the forecast. It IS rainy season here but not deluge season. All I can say is as much as it sucked here others had it worse. My biggest loss was the fish kill due to the ground fault switch triggering off the aerator to the pond. several hundred cichlids and 3 Koi fish were the casualties. I have to replace that outlet now. Going to try and cut the grass today. Better get on it before the monsoons start again.

Hey guys, up normal time, and picked up GS and went to the golf course to get a round in before it gets too hot. Nice to be outside, but the golf could have been better. No biggie though...A bad day on the golf course is better than a good day sitting inside.

Got a call yesterday morning, my friend and chhirch mate called to say his wife had to be taken to the hospital as when he came home from work her blood sugar was way high and she was unconscience. this morning he called again, she passed away during the night...just a few months older than us... she did have health conditions, but still a sad day for us here.

Onward gurus!

So sorry to hear of your friend's wife's death, Tom. Sadly our mortality becomes much more apparent as we age. Right GRIS? I live one day at a time knowing that any day could be my last. I do live my life though. I don't feel as I'm missing anything. I recently asked Sue is there anything she would like to do in her lifetime. She told me she would like to see Germany and Japan. I would also like to visit New Zealand and Australia. It's always good to keep something on the wish list. It's like my chore list. I have a list today, I'll have a list tomorrow and when I die I guess they can burn my chore list with me. On the weekwend of July 3rd my sister is coming down with my BIL and we are going to see the Steve Miller Band. Going to the Bahamas on July 21st for a 4 day cruise. Just a quick getaway. Then home for huricane season from through the end of October. That's when it's peak hurricane season. Hurricane season actually goes from June 1st to November 30th. This year is the 30th anniversary since Homestead got wiped out by Hurricane Andrew. I wish hurricanes on no one. Matt mentioned the price of gas yesterday. Probably cost over $80 to fill our sportscars with gas. The Suburban runs to just under $150 to fill up if it's near empty. Should I mention the price of meat? YOW !!! I'm very fortunate that we are well stocked. We work hard, eat well and sleep soundly. Adios amigos.

We are so dry...

How dry are you??

We are so dry, if it rained, it would evaporate before it left the cloud.

It's not that bad, but not far from it.

We did have a surprise heavy mist last weekend. Actually had to use the wipers!
