80 DEGREES ON THE FRONT PORCH, CALM, AND NEEDLESS TO SAY, SUNNY AT 0755 HRS. 69% HUMIDITY AND A PREDICTED HIGH OF 97. SURE AM GLAD I DON'T HAVE TO WORK OUTSIDE! AND AUGUST IS COMING---

WE SKIPPED THE FT GIB FIREWORKS, DARLING WIFE DIDN'T WANT TO GO, AND I'VE SEEN FIREWORKS BEFORE :-)

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ON THE AGENDA.

THE SEVEN YEARS WAR IS UP TO THE SECOND FALL OF LOUISBURG; PITT IS IN CHARGE AND THE TIDE IS TURNING AGAINST THE FRENCH, WHO HAVE WRITTEN OFF NORTH AMERICA. THIS IS A GOOD BOOK, IF OVERLY DETAILED LIKE MOST CONTEMPORARY HISTORY I'VE READ.

ALWAYS FORWARD, Y'ALL.

good morning, hope everyone had a bang yesterday in celebration of the freedoms we still have. Nothing for us. We got up, had breakfast, then went to town to Trees and Trends. they had a good sale on outdoor stuff. I've been looking at a patio set for us to downsize from the other one, but I'm the more thrifty sort. No way I'd pay their original price and their 'sale' price did't suit me either But - manager offered 20% extra off and then another 10% off veterans discount. I still think he figured it wrong as it came up 300$ less than I thought it should have. No complaints here and I"m proud to have it . No fireworks at our house, neighbors had plenty, we didn't even stick our head out to look. Just too freakin hot here and projections of 101 next three days in a row. It's not even the dog days of summer yet.

Hey guys, we got up early got packed up and headed east. It was pretty warm when we got up and as we came east it just kept getting hotter and more humid. Checked in to the cabin got unpacked and headed to the pool. It felt pretty good even though the water was a bit warm.

Nothing else planned for today except stay in her school.

I was tired so I went to bed around 08:00 PM. I slept through most of the clamour outside but a few booms broke my sleep. Sue woke me and told me there is a fire behind my BILs nursery two doors down from us. Small fire in the woods behind his place. Agriculture police patrol put it out with some water they carry in tanks in their pickupbeds. Sis and that BIL headed home yesterday morning. I spent today prepping he house for the exterminator coming tomorrow. No tent termite treatment that kills other insects as well. 2 year guarantee. I really don't want to tent the house. Small termite infestation in localized areas so I hope it works. I'll spend tomorrow lurking around and caring for our pets while thhey treat. Non toxic to pets but I just have to get them out of the way. That's about it on my end.
