80/54% AT 0757 HRS IN THE NATIONS, 101 PREDICTED.

A DOE AND FAWN PASSING THRU THE WEST YARD THIS MORNING, SHE LOOKED AWFUL POOR.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA BUT A RUN TO TAHLEQUAH, MAINLY TO GET OUT OF THE HOUSE.

LETTY, HOPE YOUR LIFE SIMPLIFIES SOON, I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU KEEP SO MANY BALLS IN THE AIR.

THE OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFETIME: WITH RUSSIA THREATENING TO CUT OFF EURO GAS, WE SHOULD BE RAMPING UP PRODUCTION, CNG FACILITIES AND TRANSPORT TO CAPTURE THAT MARKET. GOOD FOR THE ECONOMY, GOOD FOR NATIONAL SECURITY BUT IT WILL NOT HAPPEN BECAUSE OF THE BIDEN SOCIALIST CLIMATE FANTASY IS IN THE WAY.

ALWAYS FORWARD, Y'ALL!

Morning guys... hot again today. Coolest day of the week, so GS and I are going to golf. After that, we will head to the 'city' to get glass cut for the china cabinet.

Yea, sleepy joe doesn't have a clue, oil from "over there" pollutes the same as our oil, except it cost more, pollutes more, makes us more dependent on others and continues screwing our economy....exactly what the Demo-socialist party wants.

Oil from over there definitely causes a more environmental hit. Resources to get it from there to here such as the fuel used to haul it, damage to waters when it spills, then the cost to just haul it here etc. We have enough right here to last us a million years.
Very hot here already, we are covered up here and short one employee so I was in the cutroom trimming window perf panels for a large van, then trimming and grommeting banners for someone else, then i cleaned up three 55-gal cans worth of scraps and hauled out to the trash then two more full of junk from the lamination room. Now I'm sweaty and stinky and have to sit here all day like that. And to replace the one we are short, owner ran an ad for a salary more than I make plus bonuses and paid vacation. Funny I've been here 12 years, we're all contract employees and I have yet to see a bonus, even one I was promised and sure as hell not a paid vaca. I didn't even have time off when I had hip surgery. I swapped my days around to have some time to stay home then I was right back up here. For the most part I do have an easy job, and being self employed gets me great tax deductions but it's just the point of it all. Someone else said "you have to do that now to get help" which is a sh*tty thing to say. How about do that to those you ALREADY HAVE to KEEP them??

Good Morning CGs!

Another warm one here.

Letty, that just doesn't sound right about your boss. First the ad / pay situation. Second the fact that he has you as a self employed subcontractor. You're not, sounds like he's attempting to avoid paying taxes and workman's comp on you. Good luck with that.

Hope you have a great day!

Matt, possibly. When I started doing work for him it was when I was working from home, this turned into what it is now and I've kept my self employed status, it does offer its advantages and it's not been a huge issue really. But, when I saw that ad it did upset me. I have since dropped all my work from home except stuff here and there as I got to where I really didn't have time. I had a different job at the body shop on Monday and Friday plus my side jobs but he retired so that freed me up those two other days. I had two other large clients for work from home, the newspaper and Rotary Club. Rotary ended up with a new member, owned a print shop so his $10/hour girl took my job and the paper here is about to go out of business. I was ready to cut them anyway after how I'd been treated by their ad director on one of the lsat large projects I did for her, but they drastically cut budge and employees and I got axed in that round.
Then I ended up taking care of Oneta and moved to this house we are in now. My responsibilities increased a lot. One day was for her and a few of my errands, the rest of the weekend I took care of all grocery getting, meal making, house cleaning, laundry, all landscaping and pool care. I ended up mostly with Monday as my day to myself. I'm to the point now I would like to pick back up on some things to work at from home, but hate to get tied up with large projects although they do pay well. It's just hard to sit at a computer till midnight when I already am at one all day. My weeknights I'm busy doing my own things till around 9 . weekends would be allright. Problem with some of that, what I do is considered a 'luxury' or not a necessity so often design work is procured through local agencies . With Oneta gone and whenever I get her house sold and some loose ends tied up I might just change what I do alltogether. I've done this 30 years, I'm bout sick of it
