Good morning, not much going on over the weekend just tried to rest some. Did get some yard work done Saturday then just sat out by the fire. Slept late both days, tried to go fishing yesterday but didn't get anything worth noting, just a small tiny fish I think we both caught the same one. Went to a different spot, watched the sunset, stopped by Home Depot and came home.
Have a doc appt at 1:30 , would rather not leave the house today, I got plenty here that I need to do

Drove down to Key Largo to drop the boat off to repair a steering issue. Going up t miami to drop off the 83 911 for a few repairs. The girl interested in the 911 is coming ove Thursday to look at it. Her father test drove it and sent her pics. We'll see if she is interested. We know her since she was a baby. The family is friends with us. Never crazy about selling to friends but I'm totally up front and honest about what I'm selling. Besides, I'm being fair on the price. 91 Vette is still in the shop. 79 928 will be going. Spending a little (lot) on things to get them roadworthy and for the most part repaired. The boat shop gets $189 an hour for labor. I told them that was almost as much as the car dealers charge per hour. Dealers are up to about $225. My Porsche mechanic was at $110 per hour but I'm thinking he may have gone up since I was last there. LOL. One of the boat techs said to the guy that was writing me up. That motor is really old. It's from the 90's.

...at some point we will not be able to afford to fix things we can't fix ourselves. HD dealer went to $150/hr.... so I told them forget that. $600 bucks for an oil change and a check over.... includes a detail also.... that's just not right.

time to go old school where we can be shade tree mechanics... like a 7/16 to a 5/8" wrench can fix it.....

Are you one of those late style motorcycle enthusiasts or one of those balls of steel, rinse it down with a hose type, who can fix anything with rubber bands, baling wire, a coat hanger, electrical tape and super glue.
