Morning guys.... Been really busy lately. trying to keep my head above water... so to speak, no pun intended or demeaning toward those involved with those horrific weather events.

Letty, sorry to hear about your cousin. Gris just like always, media overplays things and twists the facts to sensationalize. I was watching one report where the reporter gal was talking about how bad the water was running in the gutters and how dangerous it was. she was standing in it about ankle deep and draining into the drain....my street runs more than that on a 1/2" downburst. Now, I'm not downplaying that there was heavy rain, but she was up-playing her situation.

More work today and I need to get started.

Bradenton families are alive and well. Minor damage at my nieces house where they all stayed. Knocked down fences and trees at her home and day care center she owns. Awaiting an update on my other nieces mobile home, my sister's and BIL's house and my other sister's apartment. Looks like this was bad but could have been a lot worse. Tornadoes caused lots of damage with something like 126 reported. Most ever in one day for Florida. I'm picking up branches and minor debris from around the yard. We were way south of the storm so the worst we had was tropical force winds and rain. Nothing too serious at my house. I feel for everyone that had major damage to their homes businesses and vehicles in Helene and Milton. Many have to start from scratch. Some have it worse. They owe tens of thousands of dollars on a home that no longer exists. Sadly I know how many of them feel after enduring the full wrath of Hurricane Andrew. A major financial, emotional and physical challenge lies ahead for many families.

Now, back to my daily routine. Tasks are waiting.

glad to see things are fairly okay for yall, Tommy.
Thanks for the kind words about Jordan, people are coming out of the woodwork that knew him from the restaurant in Pensacola, so many nice things said. And, we're finding out more info, this is looking more and more like a crime. And, possibly a hate one at that. he shared a sobriety home with 3 others who were abusive to him, he was borrowing money from us we didn't know why so me and his other auntee cut him off. Turns out he was trying to stay in hotels and such to be away from the others. He was saving up for an apartment down the street and to get tags on his car. Car was found in impound, turns out he drove it once to the gas station and they impounded. He didn't have much money as he was rebuilding his life. he lived in not so good of a hood cause he needed to be able to walk to work. He also had been staying on an enclosed back porch of a man's residence with persmission to get away from the others too. Wouldn't tell us none of this so we're finding out from local friends there who are contacting us. His "ex" husband was there a week ago we just found out an they were fighting a lot, one girl said they fist fought big time. We're now wondering if he had a head injury that cased the "cardiac event" when he was walking to work. Still no sign of his back pack, phone, watch etc which I'm sure is long gone. His body is due here today, coroner called his mom said stuff was "fishy" and he'd be done within 90 days. THey have a backlog from Helene.

Marcus, you like her because she doesn't gripe too much about your flossing and not brushing 3 times a day.

Yard is pretty much back to normal. Cleaned up all the fallen branches and whatever else was in the yard. Mowed the grass this afternoon. Still have to edge, get rid of some weeds, trim hedges and respray some areas with weed killer. Soon I have to do a day or two of pressure washing. Getting the yard ready for the Hanamas/Christica party. Ya, it takes a lot of effort to keep our botanical garden in tip top shape. The good thing is after the party I can ease up and relax a little bit and enjoy the Florida winter.
