Thanks, being military we do alot of travel. We could have saved another 5-7 Grand by going to the lower model but it did not have the flare the one we got does. The things that really won us to the higher model were but not limited to: dual dvds, satalite radio/tv, alloy rims, power sliding doors, sliding door power windows, power seats, back up camera, GPS, LED lighting. Now all of that plus some was the major differances between this van and the other we were looking at. Oh yeah, this one has the 3.8 liter engine and 6 speed tranny vs the 3.4 and 4 speed tranny.

We have the rounder (3rd Gen) version.
Fantasic "Trip" mobile if you have kids.
They can have the PS3/xbox360 going (with headphones) while I can listen to the radio or a CD.
Best Family truckster I ever bought.
Comes in handy on our annual trips to Fl.

Cool, thats the same color as our 03 that we traded in! Big thing with that one was no power anything (cept windows and mirrors) and its only feature was a DVD system. And we paid MORE for it than this one...crazy huh?

Ours is an '04.
It's a Platinum edition (Dark gray metallic, special paint for the 25th anniv.).

Bought it on-line from a local dealer, $9k off MSRP.
Traded a Dust Buster '94 Transport, got KBB trade-in value for it.

Of course, the '08/09s have about $10k lower MSRPs now.

My neighbors w/5 kids have the same van. He showed it to me, and I thought it was awesome. Has those fold down seats that store in the floor and tons of storage room. I could almost see myself driving one.

Congrats.

Starting to look more like a van and less like a minivan...

We did quite a few roadtrips in my dad's van, looked something like this after he painted over the ugly factory green paint.

Wow, feel sorry for ya. My parents used to have this ugly conversion van. I like conversion vans but this one was ugly. Had a latter on back too. Anyway, one day dad slamed the door on me cause he was pizzed off ..at me.. and broke the widow in the door, glass went all over me. Needless to say we did not go anywhere that day.

Yeah, we didn't have in-flight movies and video games to keep us entertained (we used our imagination). And the engine, being inside the van with just a case covering it, basically meant you had all heat, all the time. But it was cool to be able to lounge around on the bed by the back windows and watch the world go by.

Back in my Hippie days, I had a window van just like that.

Biggest POS of the few POSs I've owned.

Bought it for our camping trips (we were the "Natural" family back then). The unit I had, the previous owner put a 327 in it. Friggin powerglide tranny would nnever down-shift on it's own. Front end was top heavy with the extra V8 weight in place of the straight 6. No seat belts in that baby. 2 front buckets, and bench bed/seats in the back. Ended up rolling it on the pass. side into a ditch with 4 other people in the van, including our 3 y/o son at that time (gravel in the turn - was only going about 20). Busted out the windshield. Luckily nobody hurt. A farmer came along with his tractor, pulled us upright, and out of the ditch. Drove home 200 miles without a windshield. Boy, was that a camping trip for the memory books. Sold it for scrap when I got home.
