I'm new to this, didn't follow it last year and just found it for this year, I don't visit OT or Sports section hardly at all. What's the rules, how do you pick, do you change your team each race or??? Where do you go to pick the team? If there is a thread explaining all this someone post it for me. Sorry if I sound like a retard but I've never done the fantasy stuff before but I want to jump in. I'll pay via paypal, send me the paypal addy to pay please.

They probably have a FAQ on yahoo.. but here goes.

You have 18 races.

3 groups of drivers, A, B, C. This is based on driver performance, and stays the same all season.

Anytime before qualifying, you pick 2 A drivers, 4 B drivers, and 2 C drivers. You get points for pole position, 2nd, 3rd, etc.

You then have to narrow it down to 1 A driver, 2 B drivers, 1 C driver from the ones you already picked. These are the ones you actually get points from for the race, based on finishing position.

You can use a driver 9 times, then he's done. So mix it up a little.

But that all gets wiped at mid season, so you can reuse them again for the 2nd half, 18 more races.

Thanks for the explanation! I'll sign up once I get the paypal addy from Brut. This will be cool. I go to 7 nascar races each year but have never done the fantasy racing. Be neat to do something new.

It costs $1,000 and you have to pick Kyle Petty as one of your picks every week.

Just kidding! CC explained it pretty good in an earlier post in this thread to me. Brut will get you the info and get you signed up. It is fun.

Hey, doesn't the first 1/2 of the season end with this weekend's race at Louden? Tight race, but I'm going to leapfrog all of you and take the win.

Do our driver's reset at the 1/2 way point or can you only use each driver 9 times in the entire year?

Who all is in for the 2nd 1/2 of the season? I am, paid for both 1/2's at the beginning. Anyone else in?

Yahoo splits it into thirds, but we're doing halves. So, our first half ends after race 18 in Daytona. Total after that takes the pot.

For the 2nd half, in order to start over from scratch we have to create a new league. Then you can reuse your favorite driver all over again 9 times.

We changed it to this way because last season we had a few clever types (me) bench the good drivers for much of the first half so they could run them almost every weekend to win the 2nd half.

ttt

Looks like "livin the drm" did a last lap pass to win the first half of the season and take the pot.

Damn, I was kicking butt too to come back from last to within striking distance. Amazing what happens when you actually start changing your drivers!

So who's starting/resetting the league?
