So much for being ready for the transition.

Looks like the tuner is shot.

Some analog channels come in, all the digtial channels are dead.

Think of it as an opportunity. I saw a 73" Mitsubishi DLP on sale for $1999 at Best Buy a couple weeks back. A friend of mine paid about $5K for one a few years ago.

Good deal on the mitsu. They are good quality tvs, too.

Sucks about your tv, though. I've heard of problems with the polaroid electronics, like the little tvs and dvd players. I think they just slap their name on cheap chinese crap.

Well, Tom Petters, the owner of the company, will be going up the river for a ponzi scheme, if that makes you feel any better.

Polaroid TV? WTF were you thinking? You should give it a good review because it didn't burn your house down.

Since the warranty is out, I went ahead and took the lid off.

I'm going to see WTF is going on.

It's all apart

I'd like to know what gorilla put it together.

Who puts 20lb-ft of torque on electronic components!

Nothing burned out despite the ozone smell.

Though the power cord always had to pressed in hard to get it to work

WallyWorld

I put it back together, tried hooking up the other feeds

nada, nothing,

screen's still good

I wonder if I can pick up a monitor with dead screen and move it over.
