I was thinking about this the other day.

The only reference I've heard to the body shape was "wedge" which sounds stupid.

Or "doorstop"

C5s and C6s need a nickname too. I'm gonna recommend "junk-in-the-trunk" and "plastic-fantastic"

The C2 are midyears... What are the C1s called?

No

And I think the reason being is that the whole C1,C2, C3, C4 thing started with the C4

I never heard C3 till the C4 came out.

I think most other corvette owners refer to it as POS.

ok... all vettes are plastic, sorta...

the C1 is called "solid axle." that's simple.

All C4s are fuelies, the xfire is a form of fuel injection.

I have been thinking, too. It was the first Vette that was computer intensive. Perhaps the microchip? I donno. Digital? That gives one forum a bit more advertising than I like.

The Stig drove the Vette in that ad?

I don't object to the Wedge. It does sorta fit.

Like; I drove a Wedge between generations of Corvette owners.

Let me turn the rant switch on for a minute.

Most of the compliments I get are from people who do not own Corvettes. Even Porsche people didn't treat me like an alien (from outerspace) when I ran my 90 Corvette in X class. I don't need or want to be treated like a second class citizen by anybody especially other Corvette owners. So when it comes to Corvette only events, I usually go as a spectator. Unless, of course, it's a guru sponsored activity like at Sebring because gurus are cool and don't play that holier than thou type of crap. They're more of a come one come all lot and sometimes give away free stuff.

Thank you....

Wedge seems appropriate.

I used to call 'em Barbie Corvettes because I had no knowledge, and therefore no respect. Once I took the time to learn about the history of the C4s and how good a car they are, that's what I chose to buy. I even had to eat a bunch of humble pie from my wife and kids, cause I said I would never owna Barbie Corvette. Open mouth, insert foot....

It friggin cold, same as you. Here's a little karmic justice...

Last week all the guys in my work group went to California for a training deal. I get to go to Iowa tomorrow, because it's closer... Well My boss has to make a special trip in tomorrow to see a customer and it's gonna be -38 with the wind chill. That'll teach him to send everybody else to California. I emailed and told him to bring a light coat as the weather will be mild and sunny.

By the way, what's CFOT?

Awesome, love a devious mind.
CFOT is lovingly called here the other place or the
Corvette Forum. They have an OT there who love to devour C4's
They can be a mean and nasty bunch sometimes.

Have fun in Iowa
