I have been having an oversized concrete porch poured on the rear of my house, and there had been several delays due to wet weather over the past few weeks. So I had to keep my auxiliary driveway clear of vehicles so the concrete crew could come and go as they had an opportunity.

This meant that there have been more cars than usual in the driveway, and my Vette has been blocked. I could have done the driveway shuffle, but I've been busy enough with other things that I didn't bother.

But yesterday I took the day off work, and decided I better register the car, as the temporary plate had expired last week. I work an hour from home, and I can't get to the DMV on weekdays...

Anyway, my Ruby fired right up, and I fell in love all over again. What a great car the C4 is. Very satisfying to drive. I just love how my arse is right in front of the rear wheels. It's so cool to swing that big nose around, and you feel like your butt is the axis of the car's movement. Just the way it should be!

Love it! Love it! Love it!

I just wish I didn't have to blow six grand on a new computer and software. (iMac, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop CS3, iWork, etc.) I'd love to get that darn Hurst installed, and upgrade the stereo.

Oh well, some other time. The car is quite enjoyable as is!

Well, software is more than two grand of it. The comp will have 2.8Ghz processor, 4G ram and a tetrabyte of HD space. I gots to have a monster to edit videos and stuff.

Over the past ten years, we normally only got snow at night, and it melts the next day. Southern Colorado is pretty hot and dry. But we had an arseload of rain this year, and folks are predicting a pretty tough winter. Normally i would think the Vette could be a 12 month car where I am. But then there is this pesky "global warming"...

I'm glad your ruby fired right up. I know what you mean about falling in love with the car all over again, I have a C4 and a C5 and most of my time and money has been going into the C5, but recently I've been getting the bug again to start working on my C4 again, like new wheels, paint (maybe Daytona Sunset Orange with a black stripe down the middle) and clean her up real good.

Have fun...

You've got me a little confused. Isn't the orange car in your avatar your C4? Are you talking about fixing that up? Looks perfect to me. Or is there another C4 that you are working on?

One of these days, I need to get ahold of someone with a C5, and see if I can get a ride. I love the way my C4 wraps around me, but I bet I could appreciate the easier entry and exit on the C5. I also dig the trunk in the FRC version. I could get worked up over a red or yellow Z06.

You're a lucky man! Enjoy those Vettes! :thumbright:

Mac actually. The top-of-the-line iMac. I have never had good luck with Windows machines. :shaking:

Can't wait to build my own website for my video business!
