The BBK had four ports that were unused, three vacuum, one coolant. Put a big black rubber over em? Nah, amputate them, fill them and paint to match. The linkage had an ugly yellow coating on it. Wire wheel time. The bores were not concentric. Blend them in with a small sanding roll. I showed my reworked cover plate before. Here is a pic of the underside.

Nice job. Curious, what did you fill them with? Did you paint the whole TB or did the paint match the native finish?

There is a two part epoxy that is about the consistancy of modeling clay and dries in about 15 min. I like it. I touched it up with some silver enamal. Good Match.

You have far too much time on your hands - LOL! I'm still waiting for you to come up and rewire my underhood lights ;-)

I dropped out of the rat race in August. Riding off into the sunset, in my Vette of course. If I ever sell it, it will be sometime after I die.

Any issues with fitting the stock intake duct on there? I noticed you have an aftermarket, is that the type with the glue seam on the bottom?

The duct is HEAVY rubber no seam, very stiff, the ridges have wire loops in them. I had to use a heat gun the first few times to get it on the throttle body. Had to trim about 1/2" off the bottom at the front to fit properly, it was so stiff. Bought at one of the major catalog houses, Ecklers maybe. I could check.

It's not the rubber that's too small, it's the throttle body that is larger.

Here's a secret... the aftermarket throttlebodies were designed for the F-body, not the 'vette (there were 10x more of them.) The F-body came with a rubber intake duct vs. the plastic Corvette duct. So the aftermarket throttlebodies, which fit fine on the rubber Camaro duct, won't fit the Corvette duct, at least not without some heavy effort.

I bought a TB, but it doesn't fit, and the seller said the warranty is no good if I cut down the inlet to fit my stock hose.
