Yep, it really is Torch Red. It's a LT4, 6 spd. all light, whistles light, bells, Magnaflow ehaust system, ZR1 replicas, GY Eagle F1 GS-D3 315 rear. Did 168 at VIR Raceway in Virginia and had a little more to go!

Was it a red car from the beginning with the badges added to it, or was it originally silver and repainted red? Anyway, very sharp car, but probably hard to be stealthy ;-)

In sort, it was Sebring Silver from the factory, stolen, involved in a high speee police chase, went into a field wrecking right front end. Then owners wife decided she wanted car a different color. Car was stripped of all colored parts down to the bone. Repainted Torch Red and rebuilt bottom-up. Car has 40k miles. Yes it really is a 1996 Collector Edition Vette nothing is fake about.

Looks sweet!!!!
The charm is that if the CE's ever become uber collectable (which any LT4 is capible of), repaint in silver and that's that. I like the red better. Looks classic. |
