"What would make this forum better? "

How about a stimulus package of $1000.00 to each member?

Just kidding, I still like things the way they are.

Hi Bill - Check the left navigation for Supporting Banners. Does that work? They are official links, and we will get credit if these are clicked.

JD - there is a buyer's guide in the tech library. Kevin also has a post in the racing section for drag times.

As far as step-by-step posts, I have personally made one with pictures for replacing a brake booster (in the tech library) as well as my entire rear end swap process. Once I do my engine removal and replacement, that will be documented, as well. Several other members have posted their trials and tribulations for various other builds, including PeteK's incredible transmission rebuild threads. The information is there and available, so I honestly don't know what you mean.

Matthew

When you click on the tech library nothing happens, I never tried it before though so maybe it's not working today ? When you open this site it's the trivia thing then a list of threads, everything from best sandwhiches, Hot Chick Friday and Cat Pooping On Rug. Doesn't look like a technical site.

I just clicked it and everything worked. More contributions to the tech library are always welcome as well as to the Guru dictionary. I would like to address one component of your previous comments JD. You are correct that this site was formed initially with the intention to further document and provide "How To's" on matters pertaining to the C4 Corvette although there were always other distractions. At one point you could even play games here. I agree with you that it is important to provide education and share technical information between the members of this site. It's very liberal and you can even use information linked from other sites. Today Corvette Guru welcomes members from all generations of Corvette. Remember that Off Topic is what it states. Off Topic. I hope you use the aspects of this forum that you like. Compare it to a bowl of fruit. Eat the fruits you like, leave the ones you find unpalatible. Thanks for your comments and participation.

Hmmm....not sure why? I know if you are not logged in, it will not work. But I just clicked on it and it worked for me.

And I agree 100% with what Tommy said. Not only is this a corvette technical site, it's a social site where people of the same interests can discuss random topics. The technical stuff is why people come back once a month. The non-technical stuff is why they come back every day. But we love having members like you that want to make it better, so keep up the suggestions!

Tamiza - the links work! But is it possible to have them open in a new window, for example if you're reading a thread you don't want to get out of? The way they are now, it uses your current window to open the link.

The tech link certainly could use more articles. I actually went "over there" to see if any of Andy's articles were still there. It's different now, no author shown in some of the tips. I only looked at 6 or 7 tips.

What did blow me away was some of the tips were insane!
Like the skip shift - Remove the relay and fix it so you don't get a code???????????? WTF?
