The interchange manual is a great buy for someone looking to save some money by buying GM parts from other years or models that are essentially the same part as is needed minus the Corvette tax.
The Haynes manuals are almost useless...when compared to an AIM...which I HIGHLY recommend. You can buy a PDF version of your year AIM from Wilcox Corvettes, it's sent on a CD and you can load it onto a computer for quick reference and searching. You can also print it and bind it for shop use. |

Thanks for the feedback. I deleted the Haynes manual from the list. Andy knew the one for the C4 was useless, but we weren't sure about C3.

I dunno...I've used the Haynes manual in conjunction with my FSM on the C4. Sometimes it has better pictures or diagrams than the FSM so it can come in handy. I wouldn't use it as my only resource, but it's better than nothing

Point taken, Matthew. I've put it back. You never know when one resource may have that ideal tidbit you need.

Nice list, thanks for your work bastet!
As DB mentioned, the Assembly Manual is an absolute must-have for a C3 owner. I've used it more than the rest combined. Unfortunately, I don't believe they are available past the '82 model year. Quote:
I have found mine to be useful on occasion, but the info is limited. |

Very nice list, but quite incomplete without mentioning some other staples of C3 work:
Need LOTS of David Vizard references How can you leave out all the works of Lars Grimsrud? Finally, what about a Corvette Guru membership? |
