Year 1989 Corvette
Motor Stock

History
I have owned it for ~3 months
Fuel pump went TU
Mech told me the fuel pump was bad but other problems exist

He said 1 injector was bad and it shorted the computer

He showed me the ohm readings from the injectors and the one that was bad showed no ohms. The Mech applied 12v to the injector and the ohm reading went to ~normal and the car runs.

Looking for any advice and will most likely replace all the injectors. The car runs rough at low rpms. I've heard great things about FIC and I look forward to this adventure.

Not sure what injectors to order.

It sounds like you have a good mechanic and are making the right moves. Jon at FIC is the way to go when it comes to injectors.

Don't know about a "good" Mechanic but at least he has the background to show me what I needed to move ahead. They wanted way too much to change the injectors so I will definantly do that one on my own. Its been a few years since I cracked open an intake but I'm sure it will come back too me quick

Ordered a set of injectors last year from Jon at FIC. Took about 4 hours non-stop to install. Step by step instructions from Jon made it easy. My 87 runs great. I would suggest you call Jon and get his take on what you need.

Install took 5.5 hours with the help of my 15 year old (prob 4 without)

Took 3 or 4 hits to start but when it did she ran smooth and strong. I will call it fixed.

Excellent! Just a word of advice. When the mechanic changed the fuel pump, did you also replace the fuel filter located under the car on the passenger side?
