Welcome to the site. So what exactly is your question regarding the injectors? Are you wondering if that is causing a rough idle? There are many other factors that can cause a rough idle. Can you be more specific as to what injectors you have, the setup, and what you are looking to accomplish/diagnose?

hello
I have 19 pound injectors,,whats happening is i have a smooth idol, when i drive it and get on the throttle it sound like i have VALVE NOSE but my motor is all new,,, and all the sensors as well especially the knock sensor new,,, but my injectors read as (6 at 17 cold 2 at 18 ohms Hot reading is 6 at 17 and 2 at 16 ohms.when i put a stethoscope on them all are clicking with a dule fast sound and two click sharp and fast. so will bad injectors sound like a bad valve sound when i step on the throttle...timing is right on the money ,and like i said everything is new on this motor ,the injectors only have 60,000 miles on them... Thanks you |

Welcome to the forum. It would help us out a little more to know what yr car you have. Modified or stock.
Again welcome aboard. Good info here. I beleive the L98 engines had 24lb. injectors. Not sure on the lt1/4 or crossfire motors. I'm sure FIC will chime in with some good info. |

19 lb injectors are correct for a camaro 305. The early corvette L98 (85 and 86?) had 24 lb injectors with a lower fuel system psi, then it switched to 22 lb at 43.5 psi.
You say the motor is all new and it sounds like valve train noise? If that's the case, have you adjusted the valves to make sure that's not the problem? The injectors seem to ohm in spec, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are good. They could still be leaking or clogged, which may be indicated by poor starting when hot or cold. Also, what has been done to the motor since it's all new? Is there an upgraded cam and valvetrain? Matthew |
