Proud owner of an '87 Convertible here, car is in decent condition but needs a little work - the previous owner did start a part restoration but for some reason had to sell it.

Myself, I'm a bit of a sports car addict who has recently moved to Northern Nevada, my wife likes Corvettes so when I came to buying a car for me here we ended up with said Corvette (automatic unfortunately so my wife can drive it). And I'm now under strict instructions to keep it on the spectator side of the race track (I've got a bit of an HPDE addition that I was able to satisfy while living in the UK, but not here in the US yet). Perfect excuse to buy a C4 coupe, I'd think...

Timo - Welcome!

Now... don't tell me your last name is "Glock."

You can do a LOT with those cars... LSx conversions... you name it. Just watch that automatic, the 700R4 is not the best box ever made.

Where in the UK did you live? My Mom is from Ipswich.

Hi Timo, I'm down your way quite a bit.

You just missed our last HPDE of the year 2 weeks ago. I'm the Chief of Tech for the region and an instructor at Reno-Fernley for the last 10 years.
We're starting to put the schedule together for next year though.

Welcome to the forums! What the wive doesn't know, won't hurt her. You can always get a 2nd car and a storage garage near the track!

Timo -= Welcome to the Forum! You'll love the Corvette for a fun car to mess around with. You should get down and see Bill for some track time. One day I'll fly out there myself and see him for some instruction.

Cheers -- chat with you later

Hi Bill,
I was eyeing an HPDE day at Reno-Fernley via the Reno SCCA, I assume that's the one you're talking about? Unfortunately I couldn't get a car in time but I hope I'll have one by spring next year. Maybe not another C4, guess it just depends on what I can dig up.

Yep, we has a great day.
Pics here of the Time Trials cars, I was a bit busy so, I didn't get any pics of the HPDE cars.
