I'll bet if I posted for a mud truck club I would have been overwhelmed by responses! :-)
How about if I widen my search? Does anyone know of any within 100 miles of my area? That would put Memphis in the group, the edge of Birmingham, Jackson Tn, Starkville/Columbus area? |

You came to the right place! I'm a Corvette Club kind of guy! I have been involved with clubs for about ten years now and well most people think its kind of wierd! LOL
We have a great time and do a lot of activities. I highly recommend getting involved with a good NCCC club as they usually do a lot of stuff, however your mileage may vary. I just looked this one up for you at the NCCC National Website. My club, Corvette Club of America is the oldest club in existence and actually is one of three founding clubs that formed the National Council back in 1959. Here is one in MS North Mississippi Corvette Club (NMCC) Meets Different places every month Contact John Miller Host City - Tupelo, MS 1016 Monroe St. Tupelo, MS 38801-6245 Website: clubs.hemmings.com/frameset.cfm?club=vetteheads Meet once a month Email: jem395@comcast.net National Council of Corvette Clubs Also - National has a really crappy website, but don't let that sway you away. There is a lot of information on that site, plus you will need to check out the Southeast Region is which you reside. I hope this helps. If you don't like the structure of NCCC I'm sure there has to be some more social or less structured clubs in your area. Look in newspapers and such for clubs and activities. I know that there are three smaller Corvette Club just here in southern Maryland. I know we may have a more dense population here, but there are Corvette Wing-nuts everywhere. |

I can't be responsible for the experience as all clubs are different and have different dyanmics. I see it at our events and at our Regional Meetings. Like people, there are racer clubs, waxer clubs and eating/cruising clubs and then those that are just a little bit into themselves. I'd like to think that I have shaped Corvette Club of America into a well rounded and inclusive club that accepts new members with open arms. New membership is a major driver for a club to bring in fresh ideas keep people engaged in the activities.
Good Luck Don Haller President, Corvette Club of America http://www.corvetteclubofamerica.org Looks official don't it! |
