Here's the deal:
Every couple years Selfridge ANG base puts on an air show. My folks live extremely close and we watch the show from their backyard. Because of this, we like to have a BBQ as a little get-together. I took some time off work and will be there with the family and friends, and would like to invite all of our CG family to attend, as well! So you Michigan folks step up! (and anyone else close, too!) Hey, it's August! Only a few weeks away.
From the website: "What time is the Air Show? Gates will be open to the public at 8 a.m. daily. Static display aircraft and countless military, aviation, and technology displays will be available to all guests daily after 8:00 a.m. A radio-controlled aircraft demonstration will take place from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00. Flying performances will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until the F-22 Raptor performance is over, about 3:30 to 4:00 p.m." We will be starting up around 10:00 am at our place. If you want to go to the base first to walk around, that's cool, then stop by. We'll have some brunch in the morning then grilling all day! Matthew |
