It took us a little while to get some things sorted out, but our club is proud to announce...

The 4th Annual All Corvette Shootout sponsored by the Crown Point Corvette Club!

October 9th, 2011 at No Limit Raceway (formerly Rt. 41 Raceway) in Morocco, IN. Time trials 9:00 a.m. - Noon. Races start at 12:00 p.m. This is a bracket style race so all cars have an opportunity to win. Prizes will be awarded to winners, and clubs will compete against one another.

Yeah, I'm not even sure about myself. That's my weekend for the "on-call" rotation at work. I'm searching for a co-worker to take over that day for me. If nobody steps up, I'll have to bow out too.

Is there a rain date?

Not that I'm aware of. That was talked about a bit at the last club meeting, but I think there were some issues with track availability.

Since none of us seem to be able to make this maybe we can do a test - n - tune night before the end of season.

Sucks the timing doesn't work this time for many, as one cool thing about this event is, you can get in almost as many runs as you want, and the wait is minimal.. it's alot of fun.. as where test and tune nights are a little different as you know...

Well, we had BEAUTIFUL weather and a great turn out! Our club has some room for improvement for next year's event (better planning and communications), but for a bunch of folks who never put on a racing event such as this (we had a change of officers this year, so some of the people who ran the previous years events weren't as involved this year), I think we did a pretty good job and I think everyone went away fairly happy. Most importantly, I was really glad that the whole event came off safely, and there were no injuries or or property damage. Whew.

As soon as I get some things together, I'll post up the results and a few pics.
