Going to change plugs and wires on my 2002 LS1. I was wondering about cleaning up the engine bay by removing the AIR system like I did on my C4.

Is it all in place just to warm the cats at start up, or does it serve in a larger roll in pollution management?

I would like to strip all that junk off but will leave it alone if it changes the tune.......thanks!

knowing how integrated the C5 is, it would require a mod to the PCM.
