Guys, gals,
This round of rogue viruses is tough. What makes or seems to make a difference is how deeply infected your PC becomes. If you chose to ignore the warning signs and start clicking on the "red X" or "cancel" or "No" or ....... Your gonna get screwed. Each click is worth another attempt by the virus to continue downloading more code into your system. Best thing to do is pull the power plug out of the PC or wall. And then call your local expert for assistance. Some are lucky to ID the bug and run restore before restore is infected. Others are not so lucky when the bug reappears a few days later. WITH A VENGEANCE!!!!! You could also buy an Apple and never get a virus....Oh Yeah! Cheers! |

Excellent point. I helped a friend with a bit laptop last week. It was the nastiest bastard to get rid of.
Finally, the only way I could was to restore to a previous point and then rerun AVG and Webroot Spysweep to kill the remains. It acted like an antivirus program and wanted you to buy their product to get rid of it... all they really want is your credit card number and the luxury of putting a program on your computer that gives them remote access. Ain't happen'n on my watch. |
