Morning

I won't say good morning, just morning. Got out of bed at 03:45. Awoke to a series of flashing lights. One of the pet toys my wife bought is a ball that flashes with a bright multicolored strobe effect. Precious (dog) had brought it in with her and was lying at the foot of the bed. She must have bumped it. Of course I had to get up to figure out WTF was going on. At first I thought a night light went wacky. Then I thought maybe an emergency vehicle drove by with it's lights on. As I was walking back to the bedroon there it was again, flashing lights. At least I found out what it was. That toy is relagated to daytime use only. Now I can't sleep. I opted instead to stay up, have a cup of coffee and launch the new day. ( I see a nap in my future.)
House guests have left so it's time to return to normal programing. Today .......... trash day, pay some bills, and get back to the list. Wifey has a couple upcoming company jobs that have my name on it. So, let's get crackin. The month is almost over. Get those winter Corvette projects into high gear. Spring is right around the corner.

Insomnia strikes again..Got up, watched the news and came on into work. It's actually nice around here..got the place to myself! No gossup, no rumor mill..nice and quiet!
Bright side is that I get to call it a day at 12pm!
Going to get the cover off the vette and get it ready to roll this weekend!
Hope everybody has a great day!

Morning guys....TGIF. I/m not up as early as the rest here, but I'm up. It's been a heck of a week. We have a home ball game tonight and then the first round of substate Monday for the boys and then MY b-ball season is over.

Last night I pulled up the carpet, laid the underlayment down and spread the glue and put the tile down in the "computer room". Tomorrow I'll grout it, then it will be a matter of getting the carpet layer back over to finish up.

Big wind and a dusting of snow last night but cold and clear today. Slept like a baby last night which usually happens after a night where sleep's illusive.

Got trash day here also...and get some orders for chemical in and some late meetings with farmers. Regular stuff.

I will probably change out the coolant in the C5 before the season, it may be the original stuff which is 10 years old. That would be all the fluids changed out and I suppose I should change the belt also.......and what about the hoses.....?

It's Friday....let's live large...

Happy Friday! Sheesh, some of you were up waaaaaaaaaay too early. Flashing lights is never a good way to start the day. Last work day for a while, so I'm putting my brain in vacation mode.

There was a clip of some comedienne on the radio this morning - she says, "I've been married for a little over 2 years now. They say that you need to keep things spicy, but I hate porn. Don't get me wrong, the money was good, but...."

Have a great day, Gurus!

I was reading a story in Corvette Mag about Dave MacDonald and his Corvette racing. He was killed at the 64 Indy 500 while driving a car owned by Micky Thompson. Graham Hill had refused an offer to drive the same Sears Allstate car because of its poor handling caractoristics.....MacDonald then was asked to drive it and took the ride.....

Here is a vid showing him and Zora testing 63 Vettes....

Good Morning CGs!

All yesterday the weather was forecasting 4-7 inches of snow. I didn't believe it. It was 44 degrees outside. It rained almost all evening. When I woke up, there was snow on the ground! Yeah, 1/4 of an inch. Not exactly 7 inches. Tools. It's going to be 50 next week. Only downside today is I can't pick up my car from the exhaust shop because the tires suck in the snow.

Rugrat #1 has been sick the last two days with the stomach flu. I hope she's better today. She will seem fine for hours then yak out of nowhere. So we'll keep an eye on her.

TB - you'll have a new house by the time you're done. Pics?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

It's when they predict clear, beautiful weather that you have to watch out. Especially when planning an out door event.

I 'll try to take some pictures, Matt. Using the left over carpet from the stairway and left over tile from the bathroom. We've never liked the office chair rolling around on the carpet (even with the heavy plastic thingy down). The tile will be a big improvement.

Biggest obstacle now is moving the dam* antique piano that no one ever plays anymore. Weighs a ton......and I'm not exaggerating much.

Probably a lot of nice wood on an antique piano that could be made into kitchen cabinets.

The dentist

…..pulls out a numbing needle to give the man a shot.

'No way! No needles. I hate needles' the patient said.

The dentist starts to hook up the nitrous oxide and the man objects.

'I can't do the gas thing. The thought of having the gas mask on is suffocating me!'

The dentist then asks the patient if he has any objection to taking a pill.

'No objection,' the patient says. 'I'm fine with pills.'

The dentist then returns and says, 'Here's a Viagra.'

The patient says, 'Wow! I didn't know Viagra worked as a pain killer!'

'It doesn't' said the dentist,' but it's going to give you something to hold on to when I pull your tooth.

A day in the life:

Beautiful day, sunny, warm.

I took the C4 out for a drive, had a high dollar lunch at Taco Bell.Smilie

Came home and a 1994 FSM on my door step.

That's when the fight started  er, things went downhill.

Noticed a drain pipe with a very small leak in the garage, what was it leaking on?? My freekin' cleaned up C2 differential which now has rust stripes on it.bandhead

So, I thought I'd do some sanding on the C2 door. I had nitrile gloves on and wondered why they felt wet inside, I somehow gashed the back of my hand and had a glove full of blood.bandhead

And when I turned around to pull the glove off, the C2 door fell off the table and on to the concrete. bandheadbandhead

I was scared chitless backing the C4 into the garage.laughing6

I'm on the couch for the remainder, don't want to walk around too much, I might run into a wall. laughing9

This morning my macaw decided that my 92 FSM laying on the floor looked editable.

Now there's hunks out of that.

Some days ........ I went back to bed at 05:30AM and got another 1 1/2 hours of fractured rest till my dog jumped in my face at 07:00. I didn't move when he jumped up on the bed so he pawed my face. The other dog had to take a leak during the night and nobody let him out so he pissed on the dining room floor and wet a Persian rug with the after flow. Took the rug out and washed it and the tile floor as soon as I found it. That really never happens around here. Nothing serious. Just another day in the life. It only goes to show ..... It's always somethin.

Oh ya! Almost forgot. My 7 y/o 42" plasma TV took a dump. If you know of a good new cheap 50" to 55" TV let me know. I saw a Samsung 51" plasma for $599 I don't want to spend big bucks. Old tech cheap is OK with me. Gonna look at craigslist but I'd rather buy new. You never know. Some guy may have bought a TV at Christmas and his girlfriend threw him out on Valentines Day. TV for sale CHEAP".

Buy an LED TV, Tommy - they use a fraction of the energy of a plasma.

HAA!!!

Often also wondered why they don't look alike... again, nevermind...

Beautiful day here, had hoped to get the vette cleaned up tomorrow and get some other things done. Nope - more family issues, taking the cousin to her house to get the rest of her mess, but can't get there til noon. Figures. That blows my entire day. I'm sick of this bs with all them. Why me?
Finally slept good last night, but not near enough of it.
We'll see how I do tonight.
Hope everyone had a great day

Yea, they do. They are still a bit pricy and not a huge technology increase. They're just LCD tv that are LED back lit.

The LCD's that have a 120hz refresh/1080p are very good.
A Vizio is $900, Toshiba too.
A Vizio 55 LED ia $1,250
Samsung - much bigger bucks.

I don't want a plazma because they suck energy bigtime and the ones with better specs are as much as a LCD.

Samsung gets pretty good reviews.

When I get my next one it will be Vizio or Samsung,
