The daytime running light sockets on my 02 are burnt and melted a bit and I can't keep the bulbs working on the passenger side. I know Tom replaced his entire front units awhile back but I am thinking new sockets or to replace with LED's......any help?

I do have a Dorman part number 85882 but the listing says turn stop sockets and this is for the DRL's and may work ok for those........

have you considered ditching the entire popup setup? The C5R light kits are killer better than the stock bricks.

Just a thought.

Check with corvettehid.com. He has a ton of stuff.

Leds/HIDs anything but halogen. They last longer, brighter, safer and I love mine!

Marcus, my corner lights were burned some, and I replaced the entire corner lights.

LEDs are a viable solution. I'll see if I can find where to get them. I know there are vendors.

Marcus, you can get your LED DRLs here. These are White DRLs instead of amber. These LEDs will cause hyperflash on the turn signals and a harness to cure that problem is available too.

Thanks TBee....I already have the harness in place to cure the turn signal problem that is common in the C5's. I'll take a look.

Not to be silly, but I am a fan of LEDs. They use less current, put less of a load on the electrical system (which is already overtaxed) and last longer.

You call that bling, I call that a good idea.

Not me, I was just harassing Marcus.

I like LED's.

I've used them a long time, built an overhead console in Chev Van in 1980 with 12v LEDs in it for the high beams & turn signals. I also build LED "rain lights" for the racecars.

I have seen that parking lot before... if I am right, it's in Orlando... and I think I have been there. It just looks so damned familiar.
