About 6 weeks to get ready for the Second Annual Memorial Day Weekend Virtual Car Show. So it's time to wash em up, dress them up, fix em up and start taking pics. Please .... No old photos. Current photos prefered. The winner will get whatever the hell the God-Like Deity decides would be an appropriate prize. Maybe something Guru related ... Last year we had some tough competition. This year I expect it will be equally tough. Maybe we could have an honorable mention for the Best Improved catagory. Please post a pic of yours so fellow members will be able to view an image of your pride and joy. All the cars are winners in this car show. One or two will get to take home a prize.

A couple of rule changes The winner of the previous year may post pics but is not eligable for competition. Andy Bogus has also withdrawn himself from consideration. The rules may change from year to year but advance notice will be given. Any other notifications or changes will be posted here. This is NOT the show thread. This thread is for informational purposes only. Keep in mind the Virtual Car Show concept is for fun and entertainment. Also, it gives members an opportunity to see and show what we, the membership, prize. Our Corvettes. Other makes and models of members cars are free to show but only Corvettes will be judged. Judging will be by popular vote. One vote per member. The Vette with the most votes wins.

Will pictures that include attractive scantily clad females improve one's chances?

I defer to Andy regarding non-vehicle related enhancements.

Take all the risks you wish... remember it must still follow the Guru's requirement for work friendliness.

If you really think that a POS Vette will beat out a nice one because you found some pole dancer to bling it up, go for it... I may be marginally distracted, but I will still vote my conscience.

I should recruit the dude that bought my '96... then you could create a category for 'most rednecked trashed out vette'... the jackass painted the console orangy red, broke the clips then put SCREWS on the outside of it to hold it in place, and the door panels on the inside snap in and they snapped lose one day and he didn't know they snapped in so he put drywall screws in there to hold those. The door handles are now broken, he put the larger back tires on the front, knocked off the air dam - geez....

What an idiot. That's not 'rednecked', that's just trashed.

Next time, interview the potential buyer better...

Did I mention the tranny I paid $1600 to get rebuilt is also leaking? He redlined it three times with only 20 miles on a rebuilt engine as well. Idiot. And, like a true dumbass - he thinks its awesome .....that new console he painted a reddish orange not even matching the rest of the red on the car cost me $100. I spent a TON of time and money redoing everthing on that car. The wreck redid $7300 of it for me, then I spent nearly $6 of my own, that dumb kid got nearly a redone car, all he had to do was put gas in there and drive it - instead he ruined it....

There have been more 'improvements'... the tint has been stripped off the back window incorrectly leaving gunk back there. I work at a tint shop, it's supposed to be 'bagged off', which also removes adhesive in one step. He's taken the clear top and taped it off and sanded it to paint to match the stripes on the car. (this one I can live with)... and the little thing up by the dash with the sensor in it is now up there all alone that same orangy red color...
Oh well, it aint my car...

I think we need more classes......like 02 C5's that are mag red.........and then you could have 01 C5's that are mag red......it'le be great.....
