I like to start my morning with a cup of coffee followed by a trip to the reading room. I have magazines stacked beside the thrown. I glance over an article or two if I remembered to bring my glasses, or look at pictures if I forgot them. What inevidably happens is I sit reading longer than planned, resulting in muscle groups having the blood flow reduced. This is also known as apendages falling asleep. By the time I usually realize it, the area is already numbing or numb. Funny ....... You would think I would learn not to sit for so long. But alas...... Reading is fundmental.

Good Morning CGs!

So, Tommy, did your butt fall asleep this morning? I'm sure you're wife will be happy it's not awake and trying to talk to her.

Plan on making the trip out to Melrose Tops today to exchange my cracked acrylic top for a new one. I will take rugrat #1 along with me and she's amped up for a road trip in the broom-broom car.

I was lazy last night. I came home and started moving rocks but only worked for an hour and a half. The vette was exceptionally dirty so I took a break to wash it. After I was done I was going to go back to work, but the wife wanted me to take the kids so I bathed them, gave them a snack, and they were off to bed. No more work after 8:30 pm. I'll do some more later.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

I think it's unfortunate. I do think that we will begin to see a rise in small business / cottage industry manufacturing of specialty parts. People still like to buy something emblazoned with "made in the USA" on it. Not necessarily t-shirts, Nikes, and toothbrushes, but metal items for their hot rod, etc. There will always be a niche for that.

Morning all....phone already ringing....farm sector is a busy place these days. The hardest thing to find out here is good hired men who are willing to work the long hours that it takes to get the job done. The tech to run the new planters and GPS tractors is high so you can't just drag anybody off the street. Still it takes less people to grow more crops...so tech is paying off. A good hired hand will make 50 to 60K and sometimes have a nice house provided to live in.

Ok, gonna be hot today then crummy for the weekend. Nice.

Gotta go......

I don't think they'll start manufacturing cottages again till this economy takes a drastic turn for the better over several years.

Good morning! They'll probably start manufacturing cottages in China so we will have someplace to live when we're all over there tending gardens. The crap that drives the economy these days makes me ill.

Hope everyone celebrates Hump Day in the traditional manner.

Ahh, I don't think those are the cottages I had in mind. After the third one they all start getting better than my house.

I got half the crap outa the guest bedroom yesterday in preparation to lay down the flooring.
I'll get the rest of the crap outa there today.
Then I can tear up the old carpet, yippie skippie.

Now the crap that was in the guest room is scattered thru other rooms.

I gotta get a bigger house..........with 2 crap rooms.

Morning guys....not so much for me. I woke up early to go into the hospital to have blood work done for my up-coming surgery. Jumped out of bed and found that I have that nagging back ache associated with a kidney stone. had the blood drawn and now I've been pouring the water through me. I've had at least 3 liters already and continuing to drink.

Gee I think a cottage industry might be good. We haven't built cottages in long time here in the good ole USA.... In all seriousness, the government doesn't help those cottage industries much and doesn't reward small businesses for anything. I know as I run a one man cabinet shop on the side (evenings, weekends and summers). They make it to the point where it's not hardly worth the effort.

Got to go pee......

It's not at the excruciating pain level yet, it's a nagging ache that makes things uncomfortable and makes me irritable (just ask my students).

I just had one that I told to get a hack saw to cut off some machine screws. Next thing I know he's got a coping saw trying to cut off the screws. WT heck are you doing? "I couldn't find a hack saw." So why are you using the coping saw? Freaking ID10T.

Sorry, I started this 30 minutes ago, but had to go pee....twice. Another 60 ounces of water too.

Doesn't sound like backing out was the Christian thing to do. There would have to be one hell of a good reason to hang a girl out like that. Whomever steps up is gonna take a huge ribbing now.
