Yeah..looks like they pulled the frame from right under it. Could be waiting for the frame to get done..maybe ran out of time or money. I have three projects I can't afford at the moment

If it was any other generation, it'd bother me a lot more. I don't mean to piss of any C3 fans, but it's just an "oh well" to me.

I don't think any C3 guys would be offended. There is NO Corvette generation owners that are more critical of these cars.

I'm not a C3 owner, but I think it's too bad. There are a few C3s sitting in driveways where I work under piles of snow. One I can think of has a blue tarp over the t-tops and flat tires. I'd love to knock on the door and offer to buy one, but the wife says one vette is enough (although she loves it, too)

While this site was started for die-hard C4 owners, it is also littered by other generation owners and will be even more so soon. I would hope that we could all have respect for other generations of vettes regardless of how they came from the factory. A lot of people put tons of blood, sweat, and tears into their "babies" and do take offense when someone slams them. While I am not pissed that you said it, I am baffled as to why you did. |

No problem. Theres no need to apologize. No one can be expected to like every vette out there. I just would hate to see a lot of bashing across the generations here. I see it over at CF all the time and it really is sad to watch. I guess over there having a vette is just not good enough...its the "my vette is better than yours" mentality with some.

We got one around here like that cept its still got the frame on it. It just sits there and from what I can tell it never moves. Paint is neglected badly and I am sure the tires are in worse shape.

This thread was posted to try to add some content to the C3 section. No intention of bashing C3 gen.I just find it interesting as the car has been sitting this way for 8 years like this.Owner has lost interest and does not want to sell.
No bashing intended as I find all generations have there merits and drawbacks |

Ahhh,seeing this thread really touches my heart,for it was about a year and a half ago when I saw my Destiny(my Vette)that I drooled over when I saw her umpteen years earlier.
She was sitting under a walnut tree and had turned dark green and black from all the sap and pollen,she's supposed to be maroon,her insides were gutted and she had 3 flats and one bald one still aired up, I had to air up 4 basketballs to get her high enough to get a jack under her. I didn't care what shape she was in I knew she was my Destiny and with a little time,elbow grease,and not half as much money as I thaught it would take,WhaaLaa! she's now my companion for life. Not factory origional,but origional Me. When I was in highschool a body like that would be snatched up quick,but with the econome the way it is I cringe to think of the older classics will just rot. |
