Hello everybody!

My name is Eike and I own a '91 Corvette which is getting a 383 right now. My friend Axel/Woodstock recommended to get on this forum as you guys have a huge technical knowledge relating to C4. I've got a notion that I can learn a lot from you ...

Best wishes from Germany
Eike

Now THAT'S how you use a pair of work gloves. Love it. I hate wearing gloves when I work on cars so that's how I'll use mine when I drop the 405 back in the '77.

Welcome to the forum Eike. Walk us through what you're doing, why, and what part of the process are we seeing?

Thanks for welcome. The pic shows the '85 C4 of my wife - needs a lot of work. It will get the modified 350 out of my '91 and I'll go with a Golen built 383. Currently I need some advice on the head bolts and the intake gasket (post at C4 Technical).

The mods I did (big thanks to Woodstock who supported me a lot) until now are:
- lowering
- custom tuned Z51 shocks
- 2001 Z06 wheels
- C5 brake at the front with stainless pistons (as for less thermal conductivity)
- brake bias spring
- bigger sway bars
- full set of poly bushings
- new ball joints
- 3.07 Dana 44
- Racelogic Tracion Control
- Engine/Tranny oil cooler
- rebuilt TH700
- tossed frisbee
- some mods on the engine like portet heads, cam, intake
- DIY oil catch can
- Hooker headers coated by Swain Tech

Will post some pics of my 383 on C4 tech ...

Best wishes
Eike

Welcome aboard Eike. You've got a couple nice projects there. There are some purists who would have a heart attack seeing your pictures of the Corvette off the paved roads. (I'm not one of those ) I think these cars were designed and meant to be driven.....go for it , buddy. Please do keep us posted on your progress.
