Went for a short drive and the engine and abs lights came on. Got the car home and put it on the programmer. This is a list of the codes. P0172-system to rich (bank 1), P0175- system to rich (bank 2), P0324-knock control system error, P0335-crankshaft position sensor A circuit, P0336-crankshaft position sensor A circuit range/performance, U0121-throttle/pedal position sensor A circuit. The car has american racing headers, vara ram intake, 160 degree thermostat. Never had it dyno tuned. Could that be the problem or is it maybe an electrical problem? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's a 2006 Z06. Bought it used in 2008 with 8,000 miles on it. Put the mods on it in 2009 and always had the engine light come on from running to rich. Never had these other codes come up before.

The first thing you need to check is if your battery is 100%. If there is any doubt replace it with the correct one. Cold cranking amps and RC has to be up to what GM specifies. That can cure a lot of wierd electrical problems on the C5 and C6's....

Here is some info on one of the codes....

The first time you start it up its fine. But if you shut it off and try to re start it sometimes it struggles to fire back up. Runs very sluggish at times. Almost like the timing might be off.

The battery was dead the other day when I tried to start it. Put it on the charger and it was fully charged. Thank's for the help. I'll check the link you sent.

Looks sweet!

I will need to fire up my GM service manual. I would not be surprised if those codes were somehow connected to each other. Perhaps a common bad ground wire? Something that simple can cause all sorts of issues.

I have a feeling we have talked before. Your problem sounds very familiar...

And yes, Welcome Aboard!
