Hi everyone. Just bought my 1st Vette a couple weeks ago. 1986 coupe, auto, 54k. Runs great but a long list of little things to fix up, I know thats to be expected. ;) I've wanted one all my life and now, finally, I had the opportunity to pick one up! Haven't stopped smiling yet!

Thanks for the welcome guys.

yes those are bbs wheels. But since this car is basically stock, 26 years old, only 54k on the clock, I wish I had the stock wheels. I'm sure i'll come across some eventually. The only other thing I want to change is the tail lens. It came with the amber lens option, I really don't like it. So thats another thing im sure i'll come across eventually.

When it comes to classic cars, i'm a huge fan of factory stock.

Thanks again guys, i'm quite sure you'll be hearing from me! ;)

Scott - those stock wheels are easy to find in excellent shape and cheap. The amber lens/export option you are talking about is a love/hate thing but very desired by many and you can sell them no problem.

Welcome, Scott. Sharp looking 1986.

The early 16-inch wheels are actually fairly easy to find: I have two full sets for my 1985.

Welcome to the Big Top. Car looks great. The wheels are retro but I like em. What shape and how old are your tires?
Just asking because old hard rubber can be dangerous. Enjoy!

The tires are BFG's. I'm having a mental block right now, can't remember which ones they are. Anyways, I checked the date codes and they are 6 years old and they have some dry rot in between the treads. I'll definitely will be getting new sneakers next spring.

I got some new BFG's for my 1985 earlier this year - here's the relevant thread:
