looks like a lot of work .does it fit well.

The top of the TB is not the highest point of an HSR intake assembly.

Excluding the plenum-to-runner cluster gasket, height to the top
of the HSR plenum ribs at "position A" is 9.7188". (The HSR base
measures 5.8438" (5-27/32") to the top of the runner cluster, the
HSR plenum measures 3.8750" (3-7/8") to the top of the ribs.).
With a gasket, the overall height would be >= 9.750" at "A"

The HSR numbers above are derived from the same method Edelbrock
uses:

For the Pro-Flo XT, Edelbrock publishes height as: A-9.09" B-8.20"

If the comment is about the HSR, then consider that, given the
figure of 190 ci stated for the Pro-Flo XT in USAsOnlyWay's
post above (#24), the HSR plenum has more than 40% greater
plenum volume than the P-FXT.

Edelbrock recommends their #7201 intake gasket:
7201 - 2.09 in. x 1.28 in. Port, .060 in. thick.

This compares with Fel-Pro's
1204 - 1.99 in. x 1.23 in. Port, .060 in. thick.
1205 - 2.09 in. x 1.28 in. Port, .060 in. thick.
1206 - 2.21 in. x 1.31 in. Port, .060 in. thick

Finding a suitable thermostat housing for an L98 C4 application
may/may not be a consideration.
