I really screwed up and need expert advise, Please..
After many months of restorinfg my 94 c-4 LT-1 I was only hours away from completion then it happened. I was replacing the OIL LEVEL SENSOR inserted on the side of the oil pan. As I was removing the old sensor from the pan, the small plastic retainer on the end of the sensor broke off and fell into the oil pan. Does this mean that I have to drop the oil pan (which I dread the thought of doing) or will the retainer just settle on the bottom. The retainer is made of plastic and is a bit smaller than a dime. Is there a screen on the oil pick-up tube that will prevent the retainer from doing any internal damage. Thank you to any and all for advise, I do appreciate it. I am at witts end... No worries, there's a screen and it will live there. I was found a shorty 7/16 wrench in the bottom of a lt1 that was there for years
